Good thing the cops were there to stop the baby from driving them. Great police work!

Everyone should be sterilized at birth. Then a rigorous screening process should be required before you're allowed to reproduce. Within a couple of generations we would cure stupidity.

Freak: Everyone should be sterilized at birth. Then a rigorous screening process should be required before you're allowed to reproduce. Within a couple of generations we would cure stupidity.

Close, but too much potential for corruption. How's this:

First, get rid of all obvious warning labels. If you're too stupid to use common sense around a damn chainsaw or want to give plastic bags to children, you do that. More chlorine for the gene pool. (Warning labels for stuff like food allergies is fine, as long as it's not "dairy products contain milk" or "peanut butter contains peanuts.")

Second, get rid of the lawyers and politicians so that when these stupid people do something dumb and survive, they can't sue. This will be a twofold benefit, because these are the people who tend to spawn lawyers and politicians in the first place, and with fewer stupid people, there won't be a need for either in the first place.

Third, profit.

Are you kidding? He couldn't say his ABCs, walk a straight line and when asked how much he had to drink, could only kick and scream. The little lush is lucky he didn't get tazed.

Fluffball 2008-01-20 05:50:38 AM
Oh come on, it's not that big a deal. I mean for that amount of BAC it had to be just a beer.

I mean hell, if my 2-lb chihuahua isn't buzed after 2 high-lifes then I would think a 10-lb+ baby would be just fine.

You may be on the right track... The lawyers and politicians are pretty low but the its not these folk who support them. They are fodder for their wiles perhaps but its thinking folks looking to get a nice middle class living who provide the real support.

Its amazing how fast intelligent people will degenerate and support half reasoned arguments for stupidity like unchecked military funding, the forever war on drugs and the current medical care system.

The folks from TFA were just trying to get they're kids to sleep. The real danger is that our society is starting to pander to the lazy with a sense of entitlement.

I was being snarky more than anything else, but yeah, it is amazing how people who should be intelligent by most standards turn into mouth-breathing idiots over stuff like that. Still, I do stand by the notion that getting rid of warning labels, politicians, and lawyers would inside of a decade cull the lowest elements of society, thus solving the stupid-breeder problem. Then with politicians gone, there won't be anyone to make up stupid rules and ideas that muddle the "should-be-intelligent" folk. Once again, profit. :)

Well, either they died young from said allergy before it was properly diagnosed, or it's a government conspiracy to make us all pussified and meek before their Big Brother powers. Y'know, that gene-therapy and genetically modified food that they told us was going to make us better. Sneaky bastards.

He chose to get a horrible, stupid, irresponsible, evil woman-child pregnant, with no apparent thought of marriage (yeah, I don't blame him for that part, either). People who do that are sentencing their offspring to lives of misery. They are evil. He squirted, created life, then wasn't around to care for the product of that union because he had better things to do.

Everyone is to blame for this disaster. This poor kid never had a chance. But it's good that the child is with Daddy now. Except that the mother always reigns supreme in courts, so she'll probably get him back to abuse further.

Fark them all.

At least the child is with the right parent now.

Fun Fact: Women commit more child abuse than men and single mothers create the majority of the criminal population.

how do you know that? since the article gives no details, it's also possible that he was utterly in love with that woman, did everything he could to keep them together but couldn't really force her not to leave him, and spent every dime he had on the custody battle.

I'm toxicologist and actually, I'm not reading these comments. Assuming the kid was 22lbs and using the volume of distribution of a woman on the fatty side (because I don't know the vol. of dist. for a baby) the child would have only had to drink less than half of a standard American beer (4.5-5% alcohol by volume). So, it does seem possible that he could have had half a beer in the time these "parents" weren't watching.
