5'0", and 40-20-36.

Have to say I'd probably still hit it. Those are my kind of numbers.

I'm sad to say I preferred the White Stripes version.

The Crossroads version with Melissa Etheridge is surprisingly good.

Found it HERE

One of my favorite songs. Usually I am in agreement with everyone on their alternate choices of better covers, today I'm going WTF?

This version of the song doesn't do justice to Dolly Parton's vocals, which is what made the song great, IMHO. She raised the bar so high on the song that the other excellent versions, by Melissa Etheridge and Olivia Newton-John, sort of pale in comparison. As for the White Stripes version, damn them suckers are wealthy enough to hire a decent singer, why do they have that skreechy wino up there croaking it out? Absolutely pitiful.

I always wanted to see what Linda Ronstadt, whose voice is on a comparable level with Dolly Parton's, would have done with the song.

Another version by Dolly, more vocals, less instrumentals.

Yuk. There's no soul in that one.

no clever name here just move along 2008-01-19 06:14:30 PM
I hope there's a version out there where she actually hits the high note at the end and doesn't go out of tune.....
that's why she stops it so quick and says "thank you!" she knew she was sucking.....
like the song though....

Me First and the Gimme Gimme's version rocks, but I can't find a good video.

Loved her the time on Letterman when she did "Dolly Parton's Top Ten Pet Peeves." Favorite was, "Nobody ever notices I've got a great ass, too."

I'm not a huge Dolly fan, but I have that on my iPod. It's one of my favorite songs of all time. It's just amazing.
