Cool claymation work, but goddamn I can't stand Static-X.

Love me some Static-X. Although I do admit Start A War and Shadow Zone suck pretty bad... their latest, Cannibal, is trying to go back to the way they sounded on Wisconsin Death Trip. It doesn't always work, but it's still a decent effort.

Saw them last year in Atlanta... great show. When they played Push It the place went nuts.

Favorite song from them is still Cold, though. Well, that and Dirthouse.

Favorite Static-X song is Love Dump. Just can't beat the beauty of those lyrics.

Hell yeah. I dig some Static X. Winsconsin Death Trip ruled, but I haven't heard too much of their later stuff.

Machine = Decent followup. Recommended.
Shadow Zone = Garbage. They were trying to go more commercial. Avoid it.
Start A War = Still a little too commercial sounding, but it has some good tunes. I'd get it used.
Cannibal = If you like Wisconsin Death Trip, this is the closest they've gotten since. Short, loud and aggressive. Check it out.

I know I will receive many "that sucks" comments, but I love the hell out of this song:

You can argue they tried to go commercial, but i think it's more due to the changing band lineup. They've gone through 3 guitarists, one being tripp eisen(pedo), but Cannibal has the original Wisconsin death trip guitarist... the asian guy... fu... fuko... fukoda?

I let my GF listen to this the other day and she loved it.

They also lost their original drummer, Ken Jay. I actually remember him, just because he graduated from my old high school.

YEAH!

Saw them a bunch of times. Most memorable was at the Eagles Ballroom (well, the Rave) with Powerman 5K and Dope...back in the days. Small venue, cool show.

/Love me some Wisconsin Death Trip and Machine.

Ministry fell apart in their last few albums, absolute shiat, maybe the drugs finally caught up with uncle al.

man static-x have been one of my favourite bands since i first heard push it all those years ago.

My favourite album would have to be Cannibal. But i love them all, every album they have released is great.

Hahahah...ran into Wayne Static at a bar in San Jose when I was on tour. Kind of pissed him off when I pointed at him and yelled "Hey, that midget looks like Wayne Static." It really was him and he is really short.

\I was drunk
\\Really drunk

I didn't realize they were still around...think I saw a picture of the hair guy (yes, I know his name, but c'mon, "hair guy" is way better) on the red carpet at the AVN awards.

/guess the relevant rock stars were all taken
//they aren't that bad, I just don't really care

I've only been to one concert in the last 10 years.
Static-x/Soulfly.

It was a couple hours of total aural bliss.

/No, I said aural.

Oh wow, this brings back memories.

I randomly saw Wayne Static at LAX airport two weeks ago. Kinda funny.

odd since Al's been clean since at least Animos. I thought Animos was a return to form, but haven't been that interested in anything since, outside of a few tracks. Perhaps Al should've focused more on songs rather than Anti-Bush concepts. I dislike Bush as much as the next guy, but do i really need 3 straight albums of the same concept?

Either way, I'd still take Ministry at their most bland over Static-X anyday.

The switch between the anime CGI was annoying. Advent Children is totally underrated... some of the best CGI ever!
