Had to turn it off. The drummer's poor attempt to recreate Mo's drumming and the guitarists' mindless staccato chording was so soulless and un-frantic that it was embarrassing. And the singer? Why bother?

When the album was first issued, the main back cover photo (taken at an Exploding Plastic Inevitable performance) featured an image of actor Eric Emerson projected upside-down on the wall behind the band. Emerson threatened to sue over this unauthorized use of his image, unless he was paid. Rather than complying, the distributor MGM recalled copies of the album and halted its distribution until Emerson's image could be airbrushed from the photo on subsequent pressings.

The Dynamite Monkey....sadly the peel never survived my youth. I used to go to "Head Shops" in Seattle's University Ave and buy "long hair" albums that I never heard of and that is when I got VU. I have hundreds of obscure albums from about late 1966 to late 1970. they are all in mint condition. One of these days I might look up the values of them and maybe sell some.
