Maybe the doctors can then operate on the submitter's headline and turn it into something comprehensible.

Kyosuke: At least he'll still be able to play drums though, right?

I saw a guy playing drums once at a bar in Annapolis who was nearly complete paralyzed. He could move his wrists and fingers a bit, so he played with sticks on a MIDI drum pad, and he also had a controller in his mouth that did the bass and cymbal if blew into it/bit on it. Pretty cool.

Uh, why were two vehicles passing close enough to catch his arm in the first place? Seriously, think about the distances involved here.

When I was a teenager my sister's boyfriend did something similarly stupid. Actually it was more stupid because he did it on purpose. My sister was driving 40 MPH in a construction zone and her boyfriend in the passenger seat says he's going to knock over some of those orange barrels on the side of the road. He sticks his arm out the window far enough to smack one, but he neglected to consider that they were filled with about 20 pounds of sand to keep them from moving in the wind. He fractured a bone in his wrist and tore some tendons in his elbow.

He wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but I'm sure he never tried that again.

UTE
Ausralian slang for a pickup or more than often a car truck hybred like the Ranchero (introduced in 1957) or the El Camino (introduced in 1959) that Americans are familiar with.

Originally known as Utility coupes or just Utilities the slang term was shortened to the term UTE. Ford Australia started making them in 1934 and most other manufacturers followed the following year. The UTE is a significant part of the rugged outback culture.

The original idea came from an Australian outback farmers wife that asked the Ford motor company why they could not make a vehicle that they could take to church on Sunday and take the hogs to market on Monday? It is a damn shame that the United states did not catch on till much later in the 50s. There are a few Australian UTEs here in the states but they are very rare!

Here is mine awaiting restoration! It is a 1956 Desoto one of 275 made and the only one currently known here in the US.

At least as I know it, a native tribe, primarily based in Colorado and Utah, which in turn is the namesake of the University of Utah's athletic teams.

Those of you who don't know what a Ute is can take heart. The assumption it is a pickup truck is close enough.
In fact, while the pickup and the Ute may once have been two different animals, they are evolving to become one.

Still, for an appreciation of things Aussie (pronounced Ozzy, like Osbourne) you would need to spend a night in a swag in the back of a ute after a B&S.
Plus, always remember, no Ute = No Circle Work.

Ah, I my pronunciation of Ute was incorrect. Not a word I see often. I concede a minor Rotsky.
