Subby, there is no shagging or buggering in the British Navy. Absolutely none. ...and when I say none, I mean there is a certain amount.

Plus - They took a hell of a paddling - we're so proud.

The ordeal, in which they had to ration their supplies down to one meal a day during the latter stages...

I'll bet they ate their crew. I heard semen has enough protein to drown a wussy.

Nothing much else to do out on the open ocean, I suppose.

fark off to the Falklands for your sea-faring fun
Big man's jerk off dreamland, looking down the barrel of a gun
Friggin' in the riggin' another imperialist farce
Another page of British history to wipe the national arse
The royals donated Prince Andrew as a show of their support
Was it just luck the only ship that wasn't struck was the one on which he fought?
Three cheers for good old Andy, let's take a pic for his mum
And stick it up the royal, stick it up the royal, stick it up the royal album

They should have rowed a panoe instead. They would have girls that way.

Shagged and buggered! I think I'll get me a kayak.

Kayaking is hard. I get tired after 10 miles.

As an American, I need some translation:

1. What is "buggered"?
2. What is the meaning of "shagged".. the one that doesn't mean "had sex"?

Do a GIS on buggery. See what happens.

You can see a map of their route (including the part where they kayaked around in circles) at:

Buggered generally means Anal Sex. But in the proper context of the story, i think it means bothered.

I see now, they meant it in the non sexual sense.. as in they were f*cked and anally f*cked (had a rough time)? And they printed that in a paper?

"Can't be buggered" means "can't be bothered", but just "buggered" means "tired". Ditto "shagged".

The usages aren't considered offensive, except when used just a bit too excessively (new window).

The "circle for 2 weeks" part was because they followed the Mapquest directions.

It is a NASTY bit of sea at any time of the year, thats why god invented the airplane

They're a cute couple of fellows. I am glad they got some enjoyable buggering of each other in while having a sea voyage on kayaks.

They were probably well and truly fagged out, too.

In the context of this story, buggered means tired/exhausted, as does shagged.

In the process of civilisation
From anthropoid ape down to man,
It is generally held that the Navy
Has buggered whatever it can.
But recent extensive researches,
By Darwin and Huxley and Ball,
Have conclusively shown that the hedgehog
Has hardly been buggered at all.

/no point; just amusing

Wow. And no one dared to ask....why?
