Awesome indeed, subby.

+1'd.

Eh. His star wars rap was better. Plus his voice grates my nerves after a couple minutes. Still A+ subby would buy again.

It's scary how that mario song is engrained in everybody who ever owned a Nintendo.

God damn MC Chris is farking annoying.

Cocoa Brovas already did a Mario Brothers remix and it was 10x better. But I guess because they're black and MC Chris is some geeky cracker people will be all on Chris' nuts. How predictable.

Is this the MC Chris from Adult Swim Cartoons?

You mean MC Pee Pants? One and the same. Look for "Fett's Vette" sometime.

While Leeroy is technically correct about the Cocoa Bros cut, his half-steppin troll-fu needs some work.

White people be all like "I'm appropriatin' your culture,"
Where Black people be like "don't be appropriatin' my culture"

Perhaps if you'd posted a link, we could decide for ourselves which song, in our own personal opinion, is better.

But you're right. If there's nothing that Americans (read: white americans) love more than young white jailbait ass, it's stealing shiat from nubians and claiming it as our own.

We went to see MC Chris a few weeks ago at Jackrabbits in Jacksonville Florida. He put on a great show was really super nice to all the fans. It is the first show I have been to in ages where the performer was wandering around the crowd doing pictures and just hanging out and chatting with the fans both before and after the show.

\Fett's Vett FTW!

I thought it was OK. The Mario bit and drums so uninspired they came straight from 9th grade remedial poetry really dragged it down. Clever lyrics can only take you so far. That being said, I'd catch his show if he ever dropped my way again. I missed his last go-round - I think it was in Lubbock, which is a bit of a drive but fine if you go to Texas Tech.

Really? No way? Because MC Chris is like so famous and untouchable, like say Michael Jackson in his heyday or Jesus in his heyday.

We need to have another racedraft to give whitey a chance to claim something legitimate. I wonder what hed have to trade?

While true, it doesn't negate the fact that many artists of every level do not feel they should endeavor to connect with the fans, or even be respectful to those who pay to see them. And as such, when one dose it is a noteworthy occurrence. MC Chris was not only personable, actually seemed to really pleased that people liked his art. The fact that he was friendly and social made it that much more entertaining and present event.

nubians stole just as much from white culture. I hate how people pretend that rock n roll is some black invention. They took that shiat from white hillbillies.

Benefit did it first and better, and with more immaturity.

mc chris was probably the tidiest, most well behaved club show crowd I've seen.

lmao at nerdcore shiat is so cheesy. both the cocoa brovas and benefit flipped the concept much better.

He knows his fanbase isn't going to jump him or shoot him. He's a geek, and likes to hang out with geeks. He's not throwing gang signs or fronting for any crew other than perhaps a Resident Evil gang or something. He's basically making his money from touring, not from his albums.

I like MC Chris (as well as MC Frontalot.) They're funny but I don't toss on their albums in full, just small doses for me. I treat Weird Al in the same manner.

Fett's Vette, however does kick some major ass. Whoever produced the music on that needs to do more.

kwirk 2008-01-13 11:11:50 PM
I saw an MC Chris show once. It wasn't so much of a "show," it was more like a comedy performance. In between songs he told nerdy jokes about WoW and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. Actually those moments were better than the actual songs now that I think of it...

Anyone ever hear the Pac-man song from the Houston rap group Key Players (Playas)? It was on the local radio all the time back in maybe 2002 or 2003 when I lived there. Classic.
