Hm.. I have to admit, I look at this picture and all I can think of is hoping there is plenty of Lysol around. Still awesome, though..

My son and I are agents in Improv Everywhere. We were invited to do the NYC ride, but he had school and I broke my toe. My son participated in the Abercrombie & Fitch No Shirts prank in NYC in October. He's agent Hurricane Andrew. We have so much fun with it.

I hate Oregon. It's like an entire state of Boulder, CO.

While nice in theory, the sad reality is that more clothes=better aesthetics for most bodys

At least Portland shiat is funny. The Seattle stuff was tragic and full of angst. At least in my experiences.

/reminds me of that day each year in SoCal where they all moon the Amtrack Trains. All. Day.

Wow you were misinformed. Sorry your life is full of such displeasure. I had a lot of good times in Oregon. All over the state.

No it's not. Most of the Eastern half of the state is Redneck Central. There just aren't as many people as we weirdos in Portland and Eugene.

Plunderathon is my favorite event.

I spent a few months in PDX a couple years back. It's a great city, if not a bit too self-celebratory in its own hipness.

dudemanbro [TotalFark] 2008-01-12 08:36:57 PM
Santa Con is my favorite. Hundreds of drunk Santas wandering around downtown & launching fruitcakes into the river with a catapult.

Wil_Mahfingahdo 2008-01-12 08:38:31 PM
PDXXX is easily my favorite place on Earth. I recommend The Commodore on Morrison or the Shanghai Tunnel off Burnside for good drinks. Plus The Black Keys are heading there April 4th.

Hiymenator: This is one of the reasons I'm going out to Portland for a visit this spring or summer and most likely looking to move there this fall.

I dunno what your plans are like, but I was there for two weeks in November and had a blast staying at the two hostels in town. If you're willing to sleep in a tent (or have your own) you can stay at the Hawthorne HIP for under ten bucks a night.

Great free maps can be had from the Portland Office of Transportation. They beat the pants off of anything you'll find in town.

Home, sweet home.

I also find it highly amusing that Gothmolly and SiriuslyBlack (from Dallas, TX? Haha, SIRISULY?) decide to hate on Oregon.

That just reeks of fail.

rabidferret 2008-01-12 08:46:14 PM
Improv Everywhere, which has called for other cities to join in the pantsless onslaught, with events being planned in San Francisco; Boston; and Adelaide, Australia, among others.

Will not end well.

Thatguy 2008-01-12 08:46:55 PM
Oh crap - I hadn't heard of this! The Lloyd Center is just a couple blocks from me, and I already wasn't wearing any pants. Guess I'll just have to take the kids on a pants-free Max ride tomorrow instead.

/bail money? anyone?
//Oregon is neither as weird, hipster-clad, hippie-clad, self-congratulatory or utopian as it seems from a distance.
///It is, however, way cooler than your state. I'm looking at you, SiriuslyBlack
