Nice. I love me some Jeff Beck... and hell, he was merely mucking about and having some fun in this performance.

He's one of the best.

Batten can sling an axe with the best of them and not only hold her own, but add her own brand of technical coolness.

that was one of the best live jeff beck things ive seen and it was still some of the worst guitar playing ever. hes done some cool things on record but has he ever done anything besides suck beyond belief live? ive seen/heard alot and it baffles me why this guy is so revered. id love to see something where hes not horrible, i really would.

Awesome! Thanks, Subby. Needed me a football break. I think peeps forget about how talented Beck is. She is kick ass as well...where do I know her from, please?

Batten is the female equivalent of Steve Vai, except with less talent. Saw her with Beck. What a wankette

I saw Beck on the There And Back tour - he was incredible live.

Cool. Blue Wind is my favorite Beck composition. I liked the jam, but I have to say, I did miss the Jan.

Ugh. What a terrible post.

WTF is wrong with her tone? It sounds like she's being run through six or seven compressors on the way to her amp.

What about throwing in Jeff Buckley, Jon Brion, James Brown, Jack Black and John Bonham?

/as long as you don't throw in James Blunt

For transistors that angry, it's got to be the Sola Sound Tone Bender MKII.

ridcullylives: Nadia (new window)

that was cool but it was note for note identical to the studio version which negates the 'live' aspect of my request.
ridcullylives: Cause We've Ended As Lovers (new window)

a good example of what im talking about. terrible, although i like what he does on the record version. if it were anybody WITHOUT the name 'jeff beck' playing that exact same solo everyone would be ripping him a new one about how shiatty he is.

I saw Jeff Beck in 1989 in Detroit (with Stevie Ray Vaughn opening)
and he was great.
