SEAHAWKS over Pack by at least 6
COWBOYS over Giants by at least 14. I see this being a complete jackstomp.
COLTS over Chargers by at least 9.

don't know about Jax and Pats.

No way in hell. Otherwise spot on with the picks, but I think the Pats will win, though I'll be rooting for Jacksonville.

Going to miss the Patriots game tonight... got a gig in Providence. Hopefully there's a TV with the game on in the bar, but it's kind of an arty-farty type club, so I'm not holding my breath...

I'll get all my gloating, congratulating or eating humble pie done in the wee hours of tomorrow morning.

/Go Patriots!

ricky, shut yo' mouth. i am deeply concerned you might be pulling for the wrong team.

Let's go, not Patriots or Cowboys!

I'l wave to ya'll on TV.

Just so you know it's me, I'll be the drunk guy in the stands wearing green and gold.

I think we're going to see some blowouts this round. All these pundits are trying to pretend that Jacksonville has a chance, and they'll probably end up taking a 30 point assbeating. Likewise, all the talk about the Giants' "momentum" will come to naught, as Eli Manning remembers that he's Eli Manning.

Which sets up for a Cowboys-Packers NFC championship, and a Patriots-Colts AFC Championship. And that will be spectacular, boys and girls.

kronicfeld [TotalFark] 2008-01-12 10:54:44 AM
Pack by a TD
Cowgirls by a baker's dozen
If the Chargers won I would defecate all over myself
I have no real opinion on the Pats game. I like both teams, so I wouldn't be pained to see either win.

I believe, like I do every year, that there will be one underdog leaving this round. Not sure if it'll be Seattle, Jax, Giants, San Diego... but one of them wins.

I could sort of see it being San Diego. Not because of anything they've done, but I just see Payton Manning choking bad sometime this postseason.

No problem there. Sitting with 70,000 other warm bodies, and a belly full of schnapps will see to that.

Man, dreamworlds are awesome. I wish I could live in one all the time.

Except in the NFL playoffs, when it doesn't happen as often as you think.

I predict no matter who wins, there will be lots of truck commercials promising if I buy one, I'll feel like a Marlboro Man.

HulkHands: New England, the Patriots and me

I was just put back to an uncomfortable place in New England football history. I remember an MTV video fight between that crap fest and the Super Bowl Shuffle. Boy, we were uncomfortable with sports success in '85. I'm also convinced it had more to do with the '86 Sox then the Babe did.

I'm glad I could help.

Now to finish the job... the video (new window).

Pretty sure the Chargers are going to win, because I'm going to that game, and I've never been at a big game to see the team I was rooting for win.

from your link:
The whole game makes absolutely no sense and just as soon as you think you know all the rules, you find out there are more. I'd much rather remain blissfully ignorant.
at least she's smart enough to know exactly how ignorant she is. and since you agree with her...

Relax. I remember when that article appears as a headline submission, and it was roundly mocked by every TFette present.

Thank God. There was so much fail in there I couldn't muster the energy to tackle it all.

I am trying hard to get angst up for GB fans, but can't. It should be a good game. (If GB wins, I will root for them the rest of the way).

Go Hawks!

/Hawks win due to youth on GB side.

At the moment radar shows a band of snow just about to hit there. Am guessing 2" worth over next couple hours with flurries during game. 30°F - light winds, perfect football weather!

Thanks. First time for us...though I used to go to AS200 a lot when I was younger...it was on Richmond St at the time, if I recall. Couple of doors down from The Rocket.

And once again...GO PATRIOTS!

Goddamn hippies!

Today: Pack
Tomorrow: Cowboys
AFC: Pullin for the Chargers and the Jags because I love LaDainian Tomlinson and um.... I'm just tired of the Patriots.

Muhuhuhahahahaha... Rock Chalk, Mofos!

Let's see if Braskey can do better than going down 43-8 to start this one tonight.

/There will be at least one stunner this weekend. So I'll go with.... the Jags. Eh why not.

4NSpy 2008-01-12 03:12:16 PM
I like how everyone expects the favourites to win. Vegas would love you guys.

I would like to see the Hawks win today to send the whole "packers in the cold = win" down a peg, pulling for the jags (+550!).

Tomorrow, all I want is the Chargers to be crushed. No love for anyone else in the AFC West other than my Raiders, oh and Norv Turner can DIAF

Sorry, should be "how nobody even gives the underdogs a chance".

the favourites are expected to win, which is why they are the favourites to begin with. duh

GO HAWKS!

Many of you underestimate the seahawks...big mistake.
