Yes, because the manly men all want Hillary in office, and only the liberal femme wusses want Obama. Shut it, Rove.

glenlivid 2008-01-11 03:41:16 PM
Rove has spent his entire life cheating, lying and stealing his way to the top. He's not suddenly going to become some kind of media darling to me, but he will always be a disturbed little prick.

i will file this along with the "only college students support obama", "only black people support obama", and "oprah can't help obama" where all this punditry belongs: in the garbage.

Wasn't hillary's biggest voting segment 60+ year old women?

Yeah, sure sounds more like the "depends" crowd than the "beer drinker" crowd.

I heard some dumb biatch on NPR the other day talking about how the "whole foods" shoppers voted for Obama and the "wal-mart" shoppers voted for Hillary, it sounds so freakin pompus when you compartmentalize people like that... suck a dick biatch!

They support whichever candidate promises to stop the government from beaming mind-control rays into their skulls.

Wrong.

and they always forget to register.

That's not the point, the point is he has no place in punditry. What the hell are his intentions by saying these things. I mean, he's said a whole string of things recently that are obviously false and rediculous. The question now is, what effect is he planning on those things to have?

The best was on NPR the day after. One of the female analysts said "it's as if the women in NH saw what was happening to Hillary and in unison all raised their middle finger to us [the pundit class] and pushed her lever."

Rove is just flat-out wrong.

Hillary won in NH because she did really well among women and older people. Those are the beer drinkers?

Obama does really well among men, younger people and college students. That's the white wine crowd?

Rove has it completely backwards.

Karl Rove really wants Hillary to win. He knows that the ONLY shot any of the Republican candidates have is if they can rally the "get out the vote" because of her negatives.

And if she does win the presidency, he knows that he can EASILY work with her, because all she wants to do is keep the status quo. Sure, she'll get universal health care, support stem cell research, abortion rights and gay marriage, but Rove doesn't give a shiat about any of that.

He's truely afraid of Obama, because he doesn't think he'll play nice.

Makes no sense. The hippies at Dartmouth and the idiots at UNH don't drink white wine.

wowzer97pooh 2008-01-11 04:50:40 PM
You do realize Rove's current job is to take off any Republican candidate and place it on him. He did this with great success for George Bush.

Rove is a turd. What is important is the low quality of most of the Republican candidates. Even if you vote Republican, you're not voting for Rove. Find someone who is actually running for president.

I think that Karl Rove wants Hillary to win the Democratic nomination so that the American people must choose between two interventionist, pro-corporate, globalist candidates in '08 and he can turn in early on Election Day.

"New Hampshire win"?

Clinton: 39%; Obama: 37%
Clinton: 9 NH delegates; Obama: 9 NH delegates
Not a "winner-take-all" election.

The New Hampshire tie was a "win" for Clinton campaign only in that it wasn't the devastating loss it appeared it might be.

Actually it was a win for Obama, considering that it was a state that, just a few weeks ago, Hillary was expected to win easily. The fact that they ended up in a tie for delegates can't be seen as anything other than good news for Obama.

yeegrek 2008-01-11 05:21:46 PM
A big part of Karl's strategy is to feminize his opponent. Remember Bush the tough talkin', beer drinkin' cowboy vs. John Kerry, the French latte sipping queer? Competence be damned, masculinity means far more to Joe Six Pack.

Another one is the previous CEO of Exxon-Mobil.

You'd expect the CEO of a multinational oil company to look like an evil bastard, and by golly, he does!

It was a remarkable victory for Clinton, according to her, 100% of the national media, and everyone from Huffington Post to Karl Rove.
