Not as I recall -- the LaRouchees were stealthy -- In my town they wore jeans and some even had cowboy hats (which was casual wear east of San Diego at the time) -- they basically looked normal, acted calm and concern:

"Hey would you like to help stop the spread of AIDS? Yes? Excellent, just sign this..."

and "this" being a ballot initiative to quarantine anyone who is diagnosed with HIV.

The Ron Paulers on the other hand:

They approach you in THREES and have a look their eye that makes you think up an excuse as to why you won't give them change

I was listening to some right-wing radio host talking about Obama on the car ride home the other night. He kept calling him Bariq Hussein Obama, except quickly so that it would almost roll off the tongue. The emphasis was on the middle word, so it came out kind of like "BariqHusseinObama". Funny stuff; he was talking about how you're not allowed to bring up his family ties in Africa, but how it's perfectly ok to bring up Romney's Mormonism. Then he went on to talk about how BariqHusseinObama's family in Africa was involved in the government - his point being "He's from statists, and he is a statist. I-mag-ine that. BariqHusseinObama, just another liberal out to take your tax money."

The article is actually quite interesting... I was only a wee laddie when Carter was running, but I do remember that folx were "in love" with him the same way people (like Mrs. Flozell) are now in love with Obama.

So, is it worth it to have of years of 4 years of Obama followed by eight plus years of Frist/Huckabee?
