Really wish I had a copy of Kirsty MacColl's original version of this.

Tracey Ullman is 17 pieces of WIN.

Heh, I have this song on my iPod. I yodel along merrily whenever it comes on. I never missed an episode of her show, either. She's a funny, talented lady.

Wow, is that a blast from the past.

Her show on Fox was awesome - even with those cartoon shorts.

Here she is doing another Kirsty MacColl song: "Terry" (pops)

I wonder what ever happened with those - they were pretty good.

I've never understood the fascination with Tracey Ullman.

Her and Jerri Blank must have been separated at birth.

She needs to wipe that boog off her lip.

/Loved her show back in the day.

Great! Hadn't seen that one. There's some old picture disk 45's on ebay I'm following now, too. After I posted that comment, it occurred to me I should do some sniffing around. That Stiff batch of songs looks great, so maybe I'll change my strategy.

absoluteparanoia: The "fascination" with Tracey Ullman is simple to understand...she had this thing called talent, which at one time was considered a bonus in the entertainment industry. She was funny and could sing. There's not one entertainer out there today who does anything like what Tracey did on her show, and that's sad.

...and yet Tila Tequila is a "star."

It's Kirsty singing the "BABY!" on Tracey's version.

The song and the video are just fifty kinds of awesome.

We got a "this"...but can we get a witness? Can we get an amen?

i've got this on 12" single... one of my prize possessions. tracey is great, kirsty was the real deal.

AMEN.

I'm getting misty. Nilsson's version of "cowboy" isn't helping either. sentimental songs all night long around here...
