I'll take Garth Hudson's Lowrey Organ (new window)

I was always partial to this one:

It's not a Rick Roll, either.

"Conquistador" is a good one, too.

Gibby:

Here's a live version of Salty Dog.

Also, Simple Sister.

B.J. Wilson for the win!

Oh, yeah, might as well throw in some classic Robin Trower while we're at it, right?

One of my favorite songs.

The Annie Lennox version is good too.

Submitter here...

rocinante721, Garth's Lowrey is pretty kickass too. But a Hammond with a Leslie speaker? Classic.

Conquistador(pops) is great; So is Repent Walpurgis(pops)!

I just think this version of AWSoP is awesome because it's probably the closest we'll get to ever hearing the full lyrics performed. The only known instance of the full song being performed was by Gary Brooker at one of Douglas Adams' parties. Speaking of Gary Brooker, is this guy's voice ageless or what? :)

This performace is from a DVD called "Procol Harum - Live at Union Hill"(there's also a CD of it)

As for classic Trower, how about Long Misty Days?(pops)

And yes, B.J. Wilson was a great drummer. Sad he died so young.

Love, love that song. For the longest time, I thought it was Trower himself singing.

There you go.

And the list sucks. Where's "Us and them?" Get back was good - but I don't think it should had been on the top. "Don't let me down" with Billy was also good. And oh, AWSoP needed to be 1st.

gah hammond b3's.
back in the 70's i was in several groups where the keyboardist used the b3.
damned thing weighed a ton, sounded great but hell, moving it anywhere further than 10 feet required pulled groins.

Could've been worse: We're talking 70's, right? They could've had a B3 AND a Melotron.

Saw them open for Rick Wakeman, of all people. Great show.

Don't forget the Rhodes... Played one in the '80s. Wished I had a Wurlitzer instead. The Wurly had balls. The Rhodes was just heavy.

At least the one in Logic Studio is good, and significantly lighter. :)
