Jesus, I remember being 8 years old and hearing that damn song on WCOZ in Boston and having the urge to put Sniff 'n' The Tears, Nick Gilder and Tommy Tutone in a bus, lighting it on fire and rolling it off a cliff. Of course, I had no access to a bus, a cliff or those bands. I was, after all, only eight.

And nary a KISS song on the radio. Why must they be so cruel to the children?

You were in Boston in the 70's and couldn't find a bus?! All you had to do was complain about The Man (no, not Bucky Dent) keeping you down and you'd have had your pick.

This band, Nick Gilder and Tommy Tutone all wrote better songs than KISS. Bands with talent don't need makeup and big theatrics to sell records.

If they were to sniff my driver's seat, they would see plenty of tears.

I read that as "Sniffin' the Driver's Seat."

For some reason, I always got them mixed up with Flash and the Pan.

That drummer must hate this song, in much the same way Rob Paravonian hates Pachhelbel's Canon. I don't think the riff changed once throughout the entire song.

I figured there would be at least a half dozen Boogie Nights refs here. Farkers have failed me.
