Is anyone surprised? People who watch FOX aren't interested in news, and people interested in news don't watch FOX.

Giuliani could score 0 votes through Super Tuesday and douches at FOX would still have him on 5 hours a day. But Paul gets 2.5X as many votes as Rudy, raises more cash than Thompson, and guess which one becomes an unperson?

POAC [TotalFark] 2008-01-06 02:01:21 PM
Looks like the republicans will have to begin watching the "liberal" media again to get "fair and balanced" information.

In other news, submitter has resorted to tagging crappy blogs as "AP Wire" to get greenlights.

1) Become the sort of mental midget who truly believes that Ron Paul is the ultimate savior of humanity.

2) Begin a blog to express your profoundly held beliefs to the entire world.

3) Submit your latest blog entry to Fark and call it an AP article.

4) Greenlight!

Fox News stories are written by limp-dicked chimps with an aversion
to objective reporting. Anybody that still tunes into that channel
for real reporting deserves the misinformation.

As much disdain as I have for the Paulites, FOX news is so blatantly biased it's ridiculous.

bitteroldman 2008-01-06 03:54:05 PM
I agree, the use of the AP tag to get a green lite is low.
Its always fun to see Fox get busted when they try to distort their "news" though.
Then from TA, Maybe I am wrong or being paranoid ... but I think their bias is obvious.
Ya Think?

I'm confused.
I feel like the hound that just jumped three rabbits and don't know which to chase.

Bad green lite for the cheep blog and the misuse of the AP tag.
Good green lite because the guy documents how Fox specifically altered an AP story to create bias.
Funny CNN isn't on this.

bitteroldman 2008-01-06 03:57:11 PM
ok
this won't be green for long.
Here's (new window) the same story with a better link.

Even if you want to stick with the polls, Paul is pretty handily beating Fred Thompson, who barely registers in New Hampshire. If you want to go by Iowa, he beat Giuliani even though Giuliani spent more time campaigning in Iowa than Paul.

I think Fox has been so blatant with this that they've finally pissed off even the New Hampshire GOP- which withdrew its support from the forum. ABC is letting CNN rebroadcast last night's debate in the same time slot as the Fox Forum because of this. Paul himself will be holding a one hour town hall meeting in Manchester from 5-6 Eastern- streamed live here (pops).

Shaggy_C 2008-01-06 04:36:47 PM
The 'Religion and Selfishness' Party is finally splintering into its two distinct parts. Unless of course you Ron Paul fans jump ship to some other Republican just so you can stick it to those damn LIBERALS during the general election...

Not very likely. Ron Paul himself certainly won't.

He probably won't endorse anyone, but if he does it'll most likely be the Libertarian's nominee.

He's flat out said several times that he won't endorse any of the other current candidates, or anyone else that doesn't advocate a non-interventionist foreign policy. He's endorsed and campaigned for the Libertarian candidate since at least 1984, and would probably do so again (if he isn't the Libertarian candidate himself).

If I recall, he said he wouldn't.
I could be wrong since I can't find the exact statement I am looking for to link to.

Hmmm...that will definitely be significant; he won't hit Perot numbers if he does go 3rd party, but he would hurt the Republicans pretty badly. Especially if they put up some big-government Religious nutjob like Romney or Huckabee.

state-funded (which means you're not relying on advertising dollars to keep programming afloat) and independently-run is what you mean.

CaptMacMillian: As a college student supporting Ron Paul for legal weed isn't worth losing my loans/scholarships to my school.

Assuming you've already secured your loans, Paul wouldn't be touching them. What he would do would phase out the role of the Federal government in education which would 1) bring prices down (subsidies drive prices up, basic rule of economics) and 2) allow the states to set their own individual policies on higher education, and what role government grants/loans/scholarships should play in it.

There's a lot more to ending the drug war than just having "legal weed", too. There's crime, people in prison, costs, etc... Describing it as just simply "legal weed" undermines the seriousness of it.

/would also like legal weed

As much as I don't like most of Ron Paul's ideas or most of Ron Paul's followers, removing him from a debate based on "non-support" or whatnot is crap, especially considering who they did let in. He's got the money, and he did get some votes.

It'd still be illegal and immoral to have a draft, even under those circumstances, but I agree that probably wouldn't be the correct time to start voting from the rooftops.

Conscription- because the government was so successful at rationing gasoline, let's have them ration death.

I'm a militiaman, per my state's constitution. If we were attacked I'd absolutely help defend as such.

Given my chances of survival "voting from the rooftops" guerrilla style would actually be pretty decent as opposed to a Vietnam situation, I'd opt for the former.

actually, you fox-watching, bush-loving, retarded-republican,
this is a PEFECT use of the AP Wire tag

1) the "blog" points to 3 links
2) those 3 links ALL use the "by Associated Press; Thursday, January 3, 2008" by line, pointing to the identical AP article

the blog itself doesnt say much, other than, we report the news, you decide

it PROVES that fox is biased and EDITS the news to fit their Bias.
PERIOD

sorry if it rains on your parade

/apwire does NOT post the news online, it makes copy available to other news outlets
/would AP ever sue an outlet for false representation of their report?

The "Selective Service" system is totally unrelated to the Constitutional concept of a militia. It's conscription into a standing army, not a citizen militia.

FT Herald article: Candidates have paid little attention to the state, though.

Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, Duncan Hunter and Ron Paul have passed through since September. Mike Huckabee, Rudy Giuliani and John McCain have not.

"Yes, there have been some appearances by the candidates in this state that otherwise wouldn't have occurred this early in the process," said Jim King, who teaches political science at the University of Wyoming. "But candidates are where the media are - in Iowa and New Hampshire."

Huh? I'm a liberal democrat and I wouldn't watch Fox news if if I had a gun to my head ...

Nice job making a complete farking idiot out of yourself doing a back flip trying to respond to imaginary threats though.

I was simply saying that posting something from some Candidate Support Blog which is spawned from AN EMAIL

FTA: "From The Paulunteer Mailbox:"

and then, because it is ABOUT an AP article, saying that it is FROM the AP is like saying my post is written by Drew Curtis because it was posted in a Fark Thread.

People need to know that this is just another editorial weep job calling for a new whaaaambulance.

Besides, only idiots watch or read Fox news, so who cares anyway?
