They believe the shooting, which occurred at Da Dub Spot music studio in the 12700 block of Medfield, was accidental.

Police report that Michael Francis, 32, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced (WTF?) at the scene around 4:40 p.m. Friday.

/hmm...

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in a man's fatal shooting death.

Looks like someone graduated suma cum laude from the Redundant University of Redundancy.

It could have been a nonfatal shooting death.

Hmmmm...I have a fairly good idea regarding cause of death.

Fluid 2008-01-05 10:11:51 PM
The cops said "Michael Francis", and thus he was pronounced at the scene.

clevershark 2008-01-05 10:15:20 PM
Acute and sudden lead poisoning, perhaps?

angrymacface [TotalFark] 2008-01-05 10:17:19 PM
FTFA: Police report that Michael Francis, 32, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced at the scene.

The police stood around saying "Mi-k-ul France-iz" over and over again.

//Not too sure of the phonetic spellings
//Does it really matter?

mcorwin 2008-01-05 10:18:53 PM
This Michael dude was really cool! he was farsighted enough to bring witnesses to his own shooting

This has nothing to do with anything but I just went to post a comment in TF Discussion and discovered that my TF subscription had expired as I was typing it. Laaame.

But yeah, autopsies and stuff.

FTFA: Francis was shot while he and several witnesses were at the studio.

Sounds like someone at the studio really didn't want another copy of the Watchtower.

I mentioned once in a thread that a different but similar thing happened to me and someone bought me a month of TF. I refuse to get my own hint about paying it forward, so don't ask.

Click the close link. Noticed lately that more sites are using opaque layers for ads - the real webpage is under the ad so you gotta close it.

Still don't get the headline, or why cops need to wait for an autopsy. Gunshots are generally not the result of 'natural causes'.

Probably for toxicology to see if drugs or alcohol may have been a factor. Maybe it wasn't as accidental as it appeared to be.

Atypical Person Reading Fark [TotalFark] 2008-01-05 11:37:39 PM
Don't get it. Explain the spelling part, not the accidental part.

Unless they are related? Do not get.

deadbabyjokes 2008-01-06 12:09:22 AM
When there is a murder, autopsy is protocol... Things aren't always as they seem. Probably getting tox screens.
