somehow this headline doesn't seem right...

"Stealing car and driving it to Wal-Mart not the best move when you're on probation, Britney Spears"

*ahh* much better...

Slackfumasta 2008-01-05 07:44:26 PM
Yup. Should have gone to Target instead. Wal-Mart sucks and they treat their employees like crap.

The should be forced to provide health care benefits and to pay a living wage.

Nope, it isn't. Really funny headline and odd story.

Now back to the football game.

I still owe the Quesnel RCMP $100 for a speeding ticket. I should be forced to never live or visit the area.ever.again.

Ah, yes, because you yourself have submitted so many headlines, eh?

Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder.

Am I the only one who noticed:

"Christopher Hopkins of Prince George has been charged with theft under $5,000"

Not only does he steal a car, he steals a crappy car.

What a maroon.

I don't have any submitted/redlit gems myself, but I've seen really good headlines get smacked down for the following travesty-types that I'm sick of:

1) "Ugly-ass baby animals". Yawn.
2) "Crazy rednecks/200 dead animals". Yawn.
3) "Today's (whatever) comes to you from...." Yawn.

/That is all; love Fark otherwise, obviously.

Hooker bar.

Prince George BC. A place in the winter to steal cars to travel about BC. Because the cars are running in the cold (mostly with doors locked), and you first have to check how much gas it has, before you borrow the car.

/But the bacon patrol will probably have an illegal roadblock to stop you, maybe, if it's not too cold out.

"Stealing a car and driving it to Wal-Mart not the best move when you're on probation"

On the contrary, had he stolen a car from the Wal-Mart parking lot he would have had to settle for some beat up pick up instead.

This man is a smart shopper in my eyes.

phillydrifter 2008-01-05 08:49:23 PM
studebaker! Good to see you again! 10 to 1 we don't see quirk in this thread again, or possibly for anywhere for a week, anywhere.

/boobies

Hosebeatings 2008-01-05 09:39:57 PM
I've driven an uninsured car that was not mine while on a suspended license to Wal-Mart numerous times (once+ a week for roughly a year all told), so I'm getting a real kick out of this thread.

/no more of that foolishness anymore though.

Yup, Target pays $100/hour with full benefits. And that's just the stock buys. K-Mart is up to $130/hour with full benes, company vehicle, and use of the corporate jet. Don't get me started on top-end places like fast food joints.

Why the hell do people give Walmart flack about this BS? Either you stock, or you are a cashier. It totally unskilled labor, and neither is exactly a career, so why the hell should they have benes? Pay em minimum wage and STFU. They don't like it, they should learn a skill and get a real job.

Quantumbunny 2008-01-05 10:32:15 PM
*stock boys
*It's

Sorry. I get frustrated when people bash a corporation for something totally undeserving. You want to bash Walmart for Chinese and Laotian products produced for $.15 a day in sweat shops, that may be a valid complaint, but bashing them for paying them industry standard wages for unskilled labor?

Cosmic Crab 2008-01-05 11:33:38 PM
What does the Walmart procedure binder have for what the greeter is supposed to say in that situation?

Proving yet again that the average criminal maintains an IQ somewhere below the common brick.

QU!RK1019 2008-01-06 12:40:55 AM
Oh, they fixed the headline. My post was pretty stupid anyways, but now it's completely pointless.

Cosmic Crab 2008-01-06 01:53:04 AM
Wait... He drove it to a Walmart and not through a Walmart?

Not even news.
