Kid=Yes
Play=No

Neither. The only proof of their existence was that hairdo that Hermes sported on that Futurama episode where they all got younger.

Remember that episode of the Simpsons where Lisa walks past the movie theater, and the ad on the marquee says "Yahoo Serious is Young Einstein?"

To which Lisa exclaims (paraphrase), "I know all those words are in English, but I still don't understand that sentence."

That's sort of how this headline made me feel.

I can't wait for "House Party XII" to come out!

Not only do they not count as "stars", but this shouldn't be under the "Music" tab.

I thought Kid N Play was one person.

No mention of Class Act? I wish that movie got more love. It isn't even available on DVD, which is practically criminal when you consider that both House Party 3 and House Party 4 are.

Oh good, it was Play, not Kid.
Whew! I can relax.

Oh man, the nostalgia is making me look through the pics my dad sent me
and although I can't find any from 1990, here's one from 1985:

House Party was classic. "follow the drip, follow the drip"

no, especially since I initially thought the headline was referring to Kriss Kross.

"Kid" is now a stand up comic who isn't very funny, which is a shame 'cause he always seemed like a decent person.

With all this discussion on Kid'N'Play, who will be left to pray for Omarion?

Yeah, that scene especially. Robin Harris was awesome.

House Party 2 was pretty good also, but it was a bit too preachy. The mini-reconciliation with Full Force was unnecessary and contrived as well. These were the guys who were going to set Play's house on fire and beat people with a baseball bat when they ran out of the burning house in the first movie, fer chrissakes

Funny thing is, he left the rap/hip-hop scene because he thought it had gotten too violent and demeaning to women, and is teaching in North Carolina and producing documentaries. But I guess one can never escape their past (even though they were more "wholesome" rappers like Will Smith).

That's what happens when you mess with Grizzlebees.

Don't really care much for his more recent work with the Counting Crows, though.

Soon after we first saw the movie, my (also white) friend and I tried to do the Kid N Play Kick Step for about four hours. We even brought out the video camera to see where we were screwing up. The first part was easy enough, but it took us forever to get it right from the point where they turn their backs to each other and do the back tap.

I really hope he taped over it in the event that I somehow become famous.

AS long as the legacy of House Party continues, they will always be stars!
