There is no way anyone named Huckabee will be elected. It's a silly name.

Looks like its Huckabee and Obama. Two silly names enter. One silly name leaves.

The fact that this totally derails Willard Romney's campaign makes it all worth it.

Except Huckabee is completely different from Bush, but don't let that phase your blind partisanship. Keep on fighting.

This dude is a overly-religious world-ignorant moron. The liberals of the U.S. will never let another clown like that get elected.

Huckabee is a joke.

Knowing that he won the Iowa primary, this is not a question you should have to ask.

Still better than having them call it with 0% or 1% in.

AdenZerda 2008-01-03 09:07:21 PM
Really? With all the bad press and farkups surrounding Huckabee lately? I'd lose any faith I had in Iowa.

/What very little faith.

Here's the face of the Iowa GOP tonight:

A third are over 65, and nearly 75 percent are over the age of 45... The numbers also show a heavy turnout amongst evangelical Christians - over 60 percent.

the GOP can keep their God, Guns, & Gays platform, have fun being the party of the deep south!

The rest of the nation isn't going to stick around

Believe it or not, Norad, the people that think "overly-religious" is an insult are a minority.

I've been calling for Huckabee to win it all since he showed up in early December.

Don't underestimate religious nutbags who think the earth is 4,500 years old.

It's called statistical probability. Once the numerical margins become too great between competing candidates it becomes mathematically impossible to overcome the difference. They've been doing it for years it is very reliable. It's not a perfect analogy, but its the same kind of idea in polling where 1000 or so randomly selected people are good sample size to determine the results among a much larger group.

Wolf Blitzer is saying "A big win" for Huckabee with 25% reporting, 35 to 24... this is insane to be calling it with less then a 10% difference. I guess they just want a call during prime-time.

Am I the only one a little frustrated with the focus they're giving these hayseeds?

Someone post that picture of Huckabee in the striped shirts with his fat sons, one of whom has a propensity for getting arrested. If this is the Republican candidate, the election is already over. Democrats win easily.

Damnit.

Trashing Rush means you are not a Republican or Conservative? Republicans are better off if Rush is not used as a measurement tool or an idol to set your political stances.

I could not address him as Mr. President Huckabee without shooting my drink out of my nose on him.

Vyvyan Basterd [TotalFark] 2008-01-03 09:09:28 PM
*yawn* Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Wake me up when this whole idiotic caucus/electoral college thing is finally over and we elect our presidents solely by popular vote. Until then, the entire system is so flawed it's laughable. Republicans are just Democrats with better suits, and Democrats are just Republicans who drive Volvos. fark 'em all.
