That's better than the original.

I'm with nashBridges on this one. I was impressed until the old man sang. If Axl was singing over the sitar, I'd be amazed.

I liked how it ended...because if it had gone on any longer I would have shot myself.

Bah-duh bump

Pretty cool, but nothing beats the original.

When the guy first started singing I thought He was goofin' on rock music or sumthin. umm..I still donno for sure if He was serious, but I like it way more than the orig.

mrchowwow 2008-01-02 08:12:10 AM
Yeah. I really liked the ending, because then I knew that it was no longer playing.

I won't give away the ending, but...that was weird. And no, it's not a rickroll though I kinda wonder if that would have been better.

That was cool, and I loved the old man.

I dug the old guy too.

The singer sounds like he's getting his colonoscopy w/o anesthesia...

Awesome.

Better than the old man.

painful.

ShredVicious [TotalFark] 2008-01-02 11:36:55 AM
1) That was odd and painful.

2) There is no real feat in playing this song on a sitar (or any other instrument for that matter). It's not particularly challenging.

3) The talent that this song displays is Slash's gift for melody.

/The manualist video damn near made me snort. Bizarre!
//Wishes I was at home playing guitar instead of languishing here at work. Sigh.

it only worked for the first 15 sec. then it gradually falls to shiat

oryx 2008-01-02 03:26:13 PM
If I hadn't know beforehand I would not have guessed that was Sweet Child O' Mine.

Man, there wasn't any cowbell in there at all.

/disappointed

sat1va 2008-01-02 06:53:28 PM
I like some of that Punjabi music, provided there aren't any female vocals.

Female vocals are ear shattering.

Right because playing a sitar is easy.

I'm with Awfulperson. I thought this was neat.

Not being an expert on the sitar, I'll assume it was good ;)

That wasn't my point. Any instrument can be difficult for the wrong person. My point was given a level of musicianship above beginner, Sweet Child O Mine isn't particularly hard to play. I'd much rather have heard them play something original.

MeanJean 2008-01-03 11:46:43 AM
Eh, the singing isn't bad. I'd certainly rather listen to him than the guy from Nickelback.

tstoneman 2008-01-03 12:10:16 PM
I didn't realize the Geico cavemen could play the sitar.
