Warren DeMartini was one of those criminally underrated glam-era guitarists who wrote great riffs that stand the test of time. The rest of the band...not so much.

\Stephen Pearcy sounds as terrible today as he did then

Ratt stood out, IMO, from the rest of the glam-era Sunset Strip bands. DeMartini and Blotzer were amazing on their respective instruments and the band wrote really memorable tunes that were fairly heavy nonetheless. Pearcy was the weak link in the band, as his vox were never much to write home about, but he had a sexual swagger that overcame his lack of vocal prowess.

/still jam to Out of the Cellar and Invasion

Did anyone see the Maryland Oregon St. bowl game

Maryland's QB is Chris Turner whose father is John Turner the original drummer for Ratt.

/agree on Warren DeMartini, most guitarists coming up in that genre studied him closely.

I saw a Ratt / Bon Jovi show long ago.

Ratt was drunk and lazy, and they sucked. Pearcy was always one of the worst frontmen ever live. Bon Jovi only played a 40 minute set, and they blew Ratt off of the stage.

Always liked Ratt's records though. Never did like Bon Jovi much.

WTF was Milton Berle doing in that video? Almost as bizarre as Leonard Nimoy's appearance in the Bangle's "Goin' Down to Liverpool" video.

I think this might've been cool when we were, like, 5 years old...

If I remember the story correctly, Beau Hill (Ratt producer) was somehow related to Uncle Milty. I probably don't remember this correctly at all.

Milton makes a follow up appearence in Ratt's 'Back for More' video, so he must've enjoyed it.

Just picked up a guitar to see if I could still remember the solo to 'Lay It Down.' Almost - I flubbed the last two bars. What a wonderfully awesome solo Warren wrote for that tune.
