Nice try Subtard, but Bhutto never officially held an
important government position, much less was ever ELECTED to lead a
country.

However, the fact that you (and oh so many others) still agonize
over the election AND subsequent re-election of a former leader's
son makes me feel good... very good indeed.

Bhutto was twice elected Prime Minister of Pakistan.

You can be a noob, but try not to be dumb.

Most of Fark, including me. But in this case I think he has other 'special needs' that contribute to his problems.

I hope you meant that as a joke...

On December 2, 1988 Benazir Bhutto was sworn in as Prime Minister of Pakistan, becoming the first woman to head the government of an Islamic State.

Haw haw! A Bush joke headline! Jeez, talk about grabbing at the low-hanging fruit. I'm pretty sure everything negative that could ever be said about a person, has been said about that guy. Maybe term limits should be shorter so we can circulate some new material more often.

proteus_b 2007-12-30 07:51:28 PM
in all fairness, Benazir Bhutto herself was the daughter of a prominent politician; his connections helped her to be twice appointed Prime Minister. Pakistan still has a ways to go [towards reaching economic and political stability]. Nothing new...

"THIS" is a statement of support, meaning that the current poster agrees strongly with whatever it is that he/she has just quoted. For example:

someguy: Bacon is good.

THIS.

It's a Fark way of showing agreement with someone's comment and is despised by many.

Aside from the easy Hillary sniping, you guys do realize that W was elected Governor of Texas twice, right? That counts as executive experience in government in my book.

Never mind - even if someone helped you register, you'd never be able to fill out the ballot.

I share the sentiments about feeling very good indeed. I feel secure in my home, feel secure in my financial position, and I have not had my Constitution Rights torn from my under the guise of protecting me.

Then again I am employed and self sufficient so it may differ for the bottom feeders.

Nor any of the previous ones if you use that logic. The electoral college elected the presidents.
