So, what's his campaign platform? Eliminating the auction house "tax"? No guards at the borders of Alliance countries?

I'm gonna be glad when this next election is over. Then I will have several years of NOT HEARING THE NAME "RON PAUL" AD NAUSEUM!

Especially from the people who think he invented sliced bread and kittens.

I've seen "Vote for Ron Paul" on Anub'arak and I did the same thing there that I do in real-life: Called them N00bs!!! challenged them to a duel and then tea-bagged them. no wait.
Where am I?

Ironic, I'm blocked from the site at work because of category:games, but Fark is fine..

A few years back, I was in the Scarlet Monastery, and some guy in the group made some pun about the Right Wing being the best, and Bush being great.. I was strongly tempted to withhold heals, but I didn't. Keep that crap out of Azeroth.

Well, he's got the 14-year-old vote all sewn up then.

If this "president" thing doesn't work out, he can always run for Head Mouseketeer or something.

You guys realize that it's not Ron Paul organizing this, right? It's just a group of supporters doing it on their own free will. Just like November 5th. Just like December 16th. Just like almost every display of support for Paul.

Ron Paul actually doesn't do much at all in terms of organizing support rallies and such. His supporters do all the work for them.

It IS sad, but I don't believe that for a second. I'd like to know how they complied that information - specifically, if they're counting EVERYONE who's ever bought the game, or only active players. I'd also like to see how that average stacks up against the average age of the "regular" player who logs more than 10 hours a week. Something tells me Blizzard is counting every last grandma who bought the game and tried it once. There also might be a bunch of casual players who log in once or twice a month, but giving them equal statistical weight to the kids online every day is dishonest at best.

The EOR (Enemies of Ron) never mention that RP has been consistantly right on the single most important issue of our time. War in the middle east. That issue is what won the last election for the Dems. When the congress did not act on their mandate, Congress's popularity sank lower than the president's.

I can overlook disagreements about minor issues (though I am not sure I do disagree with anything RP has actually said), to vote for someone that I believe has the right plan to get the troops home and prevent wars in the future.

That "something" being "you just hope that's how it works."

If there's a majority of kids playing the game, I don't see them on my server. Lots and lots of adults in their twenties and thirties, a handful over 40, and a smattering of kids (many of the kids are children of adult WoW players, at that).

WoW takes a lot of time, sure, but it also takes a decent bit of research and a certain amount of socialization and interaction. You don't get that with a typical gamer kid (they're off playing FPS games and trying to get Mom and Dad to buy the newest XBox 360 title).

There's also a lot of "do the boring thing to make money" stuff in the game (fishing to get food to increase your Cooking skill and make money, which lets you do other things - not a lot of kids with that sort of patience).

The only reason RuPaul does well is because there are millions of people in this country sick of the Republicratic two-party system that gives them a choice between a douche and a turd sammich.

If Ross Perot ran today, I'm willing to bet that he might actually have a shot of winning.

In other words... STEVE HOLT!

Ron Paul isn't spamming anything, it is his supporters. Just because you deny it doesn't make it true. I guess the 856 people now online at ronpaulforums.com and the 6,600 active users are bots created by the campaign.

With a post trying to prove that there are valid reasons to not like Ron Paul, you'd think there would be one stated.

I do not know where you got your numbers from so I have no idea whether or not you are making them up. However, him wanting to decrease the size of the federal government isn't a legitimate reason to hate him.

He wants to eliminate the federal income tax and replace it with NOTHING~~!!!

so thats 40% right there.

He has also talked about reducing federal spending down to 1990 levels

thats approx 68% right there.

I am all about small government but thats not a viable reduction in the federal government.

Add into that a return to the gold standard which would be economically ruinous for the United States.

eliminate the trade deals which during the 1990s were responsible for much of the jobs the Clinton era created

Ron Paul wants to ruin the American Economy

thats the bottom line

Wow, you don't really think that the official campaign starts these ideas, do you? In case you're not being sarcastic, lets review the three big headlines he's had in the last 3 months, all three of which were organized without any assistance from the official campaign.

$6M in one day
Ron Paul Blimp
$4.6M in one day

But you (along with Smitty) think that this video game rally has been organized by Ron Paul or his campaign?

I'm a very active WoW player, and I'm 36. My father has tried it casually now and then, he's 61 now. Nor is he the only person over 50 I've met in the game.

Larry, you really are not as sharp as you think you are. Those "trade deals" are respondible for losing about 3 million manufacturing jobs.

Ron Paul will not implement a gold standard. He will attempt to allow alternate currencies. It makes me nervous having my retirement in paper.

The economy looks on the road to ruin already. The dollar may be doomed. What has created America's current wealth has been foreigner's trust in the greenback. If that wavers, you're looking at high inflation.

Ron has said that empires are not defeated, they go bankrupt. If you can't see the warning signs, too bad.

You really can't believe that Ron's grassroot support is for real? Stop watching CNN and Fox.

The_OcO 2007-12-29 02:18:30 PM
Im starting to think that the only way to gt a Ron Paul link greenlit is to make sure you have at least one fact completely wrong in the headline.

A bunch nerds who support rp decided to do a WoW march. Ron Paul and his campaign have nothing to do with it. What about spontaneous grassroots showing of support does subby not understand?
