I like the fact they used a gift card to pick the lock. It's always nice when they stick to a theme.

In TX, it is illegal for 5 years old and younger to be under the supervision of a child under 10. I don't know what the law is in NJ, but this is a case in point. This little prot&233;g&233; probably learned from their parents-of-the-year and saw they weren't getting their cut.

jshine hee-hee!

So, yeah. Protege with e-acutes.

I fail miserably at HTML. This time.

I also fail at proofreading. Please cut me some slack, farkers, I work graveyard, so it's pretty damn late.

Kids can't be trusted. My niece steals things for christ sake's. She is turning her life around though. Kid's will learn though that in life, one of the most important things is being able to trust someone completely. Where you can leave your house with a couple of people you know from around the block and coming back and being stunned your tv is still there.

RU_Rules 2007-12-29 11:59:44 AM
Where were the parentsof-the-year when the 9 yr old and 5 yr old slipped out of the house? ANd they didn't wonder where the extra prez came from?

There is a lesson here for all: keep the parents-of-the year contest open right thru 12/31.

\First it was the English mom marrying the foster kid
\\And now this.

brocas_aphasic 2007-12-29 12:10:15 PM
Now corrected!!!!!!

/I can has e-acutes and previous posts deleted, mods?

My bs radar is pinging. How does a 9 year old and a 5 year old slip out of the house unnoticed? How do they know enough to use a gift card to jimmy a lock? Where do they get the gift card? How do they sneak back into their own house unnoticed while carrying presents? How would they know the presents were age/gender appropriate for them? And wouldn't the parents notice the extra gifts with wrong name tags? I'm thinking an adult is using the kids as scapegoats.

I could have done all these things and more when I was a kid and under the "supervision" of my father. He wouldn't have noticed I was gone, wouldn't have cared I was gone, and probably wouldn't have noticed the presents either.

Perhaps you should be looking at the parenting skills from dear old mom on this one.

So this article was greenlit. Did you have to link to a canadian media reprint because linking to the AP article was too hard? Or maybe linking to an actual article in a NJ media?

jmsvrsn 2007-12-29 12:58:08 PM
Let them and their parents off without punishment. And let them keep the presents. Just like the lying little biatch-in-training who is going to the Hannah Montana concert.

Haven't you kept up with the news? Canadian links are now worth more than American links. I blame Bush.

That's so South Brunswick.

/Also would have accepted North Brunswick, parts of East and New.

Meh. Give it a coupla years. It'll start biatchin' about the heat and storms and move half way back to TN or NC.

Cup_O_Jo 2007-12-29 04:11:52 PM
and at the end of the article... A 5 year old and a 9 year old would never be on our suspect list for a burglary..
MAYBE A STOLEN BIKE BUT A BURGLARY..
WTF?
I don't want to live in this town.
Oh and btw. At 6 I knew how to use a drivers license to break in to my own house.
Latch key kids gotta think outside the box.
