Smell and potency does not always correlate, and the only way to test potency without sending it away to a lab for a week is to spark some up. Looks like Whitfield and the boys had a couple of bong hits.

in the cops defense, when most people i know first examine some unknown weed - it's initially dont by apprearance and smell. and typically, the stronger it smells, the stronger the weed. so although smelling it might not be the most scientific analysis, it probably was some potent (aka: high THC) bud.

im annoyed when i read articles where the cops praise the quality of the pot they confiscate - so much good bud going to waste.

I used to know a guy who got arrested two or three times for stuff like this.
Once he forgot to take the marijuana out of his pocket when he went to court and happened to get arrested for not appearing previously for a skateboarding ticket or something like that.
Another time he 1. accepted a check as payment for drugs 2. kept the check with the drugs 3. got caught

The guy is probly a Senator now.

My brother works for our county jail, so stories like this no longer suprise me. He has told me there have been numerous times people try to get past the courthouse metal detector with knives, pipes, etc. If you have something on you, why not turn around and walk out? I guess they're not serving their time for a rocket science internship.
