(AP) Interesting Warner Music gives in to pressure to sell DRM-free music online. Probably due to the fact that they still can't raise sales of crappy albums   (hosted.ap.org) divider line 7

with an 'artist' roster boasting consisting of the likes of Paris Hilton, Phil Collins, Danity Kane, P Diddy, Mike Jones (Mike Jones, Mike Jones, Mike Jones), Larry the Cable Guy, Cher, Ryan Cabrera, Jewel, Paul Wall, Enya, Jeff Foxworthy, Jet, Kid Rock, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Trapt, Sevendust and Nickelback I think I'm going to take a pass on this generous offer, Warner.

thanks for the Flaming Lips, though!

/major major rats off to ya for all else, though. MY GOD, the horror!

full Wikipedia entry for the Warner Music "artist" lineup (you know, in case you're you're not currently feeling like washing your hands in cold and flu season. the list will compel you)

How much you want to bet that the DRM-free stuff that's offered sucks?

Oh! You like Nickelback? Here's a practice session of them working on an acoustic cover of Hansen's MMM-Bop.

companies that market drm music are doomed, people that buy drm music are stupid.
as soon as the riaa started their reign of terror i cancelled every account i had with any riaa member company. until they wise up i won't buy another cd. i can wait.

This is more of a going out of business sale for Warner than anything else.
