I know Charlie pretty well, used to date his niece. The guy is a serial womanizer. Aside from that, he's one of the nicest people I've ever met, incredibly patient, and refreshingly bipartisan.

He's certainly being tested hard by the Save Our Homes thing, but I'm not ready to concede defeat. And I love the fact that he's suing insurers for not dropping their rates as promised.

You know what would make a good story? If Charlie Crist, mired in his various, day-to-day gubernatorial duties, was all like depressed, and melancholy about his drudgery-filled boring life, and then all of a sudden, he meets this kooky, free-spirited chick who talks to trees and takes him out of the office on wacky adventures.

His friends could be all like "harrumph!", and "I disapprove of this unusual coupling!", and "I dunno Charlie, what about that one time in the past where you were in a relationship and it ended badly?". But then he'd be happy with his kooky and energetic new soul-mate, and they and Florida would be happy forevermore.

They could call it, "The Passion of the Crist".

My wife's uncle was a Franciscan Friar for decades. (They're monks, right? Sorry-I'm not even remotely Catholic) He told me he used to get it on with the nuns all the time. Also told me he hasn't gone a day without smoking pot since he got home from Viet Nam, do the math on that one.

Ky had a lt governor a while back (elected in the 90s) who everyone thought was gay. I heard tons of rumors prior to and after the election. He was a rich doctor in his upper 40s who was known to spend time hanging around beauty pageants in his spare time. No womanizing rumors that I ever heard of. Then he knocked up and married (probably in that order) Miss America. He has two kids and his daughter (poor girl) looks just like him. It turns out he just had really high standards.

Why did that become such a Seinfeld catchphrase. The episode was not very funny, nor the line. It sounded contrived in the show, and still does.

The first one will be awfully tough, even in an age when women have children later in their lives; with a minimum age of 35, and a normative one far older than that given the media's requirement that a candidate have "experience," the likelihood of a woman of child-bearing age reaching the White House is pretty much zero.

Howabout a woman president who is a virgin who gets knocked up by a male vice president who is also a virgin on the floor of the Oval Office the day after the State of the Union Address? The baby would be born just about in time for the November primaries.
