I know this woman music. I bought her CD after I heard it from a co-worker. Maybe it was the story of how she died, etc. Bad way to have to go. Back in the 80s this woman was an up and coming pop star who was a bit inventive I guess. I wouldnt care if she were white or black or asian....its just tragic.

A great musician from the 80's. You might have heard her singing with Morrissey, the Pogues, Talking Heads, Big Country and she released some fine albums of her own.

She was divorced from and had 2 sons by the producer Steve Lillywhite (U2, Talking Heads, Phish, Peter Gabriel)

I just saw the video for "Fairytale of NY" on tv yesterday and I was going to look up the female singer and see what she's doing nowadays. Sad story.

always thought "Electric Land Lady" was a great name for an album but god i hate "Fairytale of NY" - much prefer A New England (pops)
