She had to call the police because of mice? I'd have called an exterminator, there would be less bullet holes afterward. I then would have sued the ex for the cost of the exterminator and extreme emotional distress. Step 3 - Profit.

headline explanation

Anagrammer 2007-12-23 09:56:15 PM
FTFA: A 33-year-old woman called police alleging her boyfriend, from New Castle County, intentionally released mice inside her residence around 6:30 p.m.

[...snip...]

The victim told police Smith was aware of her fear of mice and intentionally released the rodents to harass her.

So, he knew about and took advantage of her fear to harass her, yet she still reported this was done by her "boyfriend"?

If I were her, I would've reported it as being done by the ex-boyfriend.

I think the reason it is not referenced often is that Baby Boomers in the U.S. almost universally watched the original show on television. Once they had their own children, and before the advent of the internet, whenever something reminded a boomer of mice, or their childhood, or television, or basically anything at all, they would burst out in song. THAT song. (or Inna Gadda Da Vida)

Children of boomers will not reference the Mickey Mouse Club song except to torture others their own age. Sort of the same reason any of us ever still play "classic rock" music.

And boomers won't reference it anymore because they are now totally senile and can't remember, or too busy trolling for teens on the intarwebs and the dated reference would blow their cover.

I wonder which of those smitty is..?
