Staffers are so overzealous these days.

Remember how Grey Davis was being groomed to be the next President of the US? Then he bankrupts California and a barely-literate actor comes in and does a better job.

Check his wide stance ... then run.

That's probably the most clumsy attempt at deflection I've seen on Fark. Bravo, Nemo.

Well, if he spent like a fool, he IS/WAS not a fiscally conservative anything.

Seriously? Is anyone really going to RTFA or not? He spent the money on... you guessed it, ROADS. What a way to spend road money! Oh noes!! And it wasn't the first time (according to the article) that a governor's transportation secretary did something like that. In 2001, the then Democratic-governor spent a good amount of the emergency road money on the same exact thing-blacktopping country roads But no, it's only bad when a republican does it, right.

You obviously haven't been paying attention to the job that Ahnold has actually done.

You may have overlooked the significance of the "The Courier-Journal" link. That should have been spelled "The Liberal-shiatrag."

These days there's almost no such thing as a fiscally conservative Republican.

Barricaded Gunman 2007-12-23 02:41:50 PM
Former Transportation Secretary Bill Nighbert, who controlled spending from the fund, wouldn't discuss the spending yesterday, saying, "I'm not interested in taking up time commenting on anything like that."

That's what I'll probably tell my boss when he asks about some colossal farkup that I oversaw, too. I'll be sure to let you all know how it turns out.

No, it's only a bad thing when the Rethuglican spends 99% of it in half a year, right-wing bozo apologist.

I'd like to see how many of those roads actually got black-topped.

My guess is damn few.

Enough with the road stuff - when do we get to the part where he sucked someone's cack in a public bathroom or solicited meth-head gay hookers? I mean, we're talking about *Repbulicans* here, right??
