Um, no. I can understand wanting a small federal government, but I think Ron Paul takes it too far. His idea of government would give so much power to the states that the United States would act more like 50 individual countries, at least as far as domestic issues are concerned.

isn't that how it was supposed to be? Although I think at this point that's a pipe dream and somewhat unrealistic. I like a lot of kucinich's ideas, some I disagree with heartily.... Given I tend to weigh in ranging far left to far right depending on the issue at hand I doubt I'll find any one candidate truly appealing.

If you mean when they wrote the Articles of Confederation, yes. If you mean after they were biatch-slapped with just how poorly that idea was working out for them, no.

If you have a problem with the way the government is handling things or if an issue arises that needs their attention, which do you feel would be more accessible to address your concerns: the federal government or the state?

The problem with the federal government is that they come up with a one size fits all approach that will best meet the needs of people in all 50 states. They end up making compromises that help no one.

Why do supposedly legitimate news sites bother to report the results of online polls?

Because otherwise it would leave a blank, rectangular space on the page.

to be fair, Kucinich is probably closer to my political thinking, but he has such a way of expressing said thinking that makes me think he's retarded. (See also: DailyKos)

Well, in terms of my political views Kucinich or maybe Mike Gravel are the closest.

Also, nn that poll Cynthia Mckinney won the green party vote. *shudder*

Voting Kucinich here too. He's a longshot, but I agree with him.

Kucinich is my hero. He deserves to be president move than any of the other scumbags in the race (although Obama hasn't really been in politics long enough to become a scumbag)

Almost like they would be States which are united to one another? hmm

It's not a perfect system, but it can and does work. Politics is all about working out compromises, and those can include exceptions if necessary.

milo_rules: Kucinich is my hero.

This, a thousand times.
