Except if it stays cloudy until April like it does here. Even if you do keep sunlight there's very little of it.

From TFA:

This striking composite image follows the Sun's path through the December Solstice day of 2005 in a beautiful blue sky, looking down the Tyrrhenian Sea coast from Santa Severa toward Fiumicino, Italy. The view covers about 115 degrees in 43 separate, well-planned exposures from sunrise to sunset.

I sometimes pretend to be Zoroastrian in atheism threads. So, I'm not sure if that helps you feel less left out, or just offended.

Hey, if you know what you're talking about, I'll take it. We need all the representation we can get.

Since it's December and the winter solstice, it must be in the northern hemisphere, therefore, south.

what's that all about then?

Persepolis 2007-12-22 10:00:37 PM
Black Moses: what's that all about then?

Very simple. Existence = (Good vs. evil). You have free will and a mind that can determine which one to choose. Your actions(thoughts, words, deeds) will strengthen either one of them. You should choose to strengthen good.

The rest is just details.

does anyone else think it's pretty neat that we live in an age in which we can see a picture, digitally edited, showing the entire path of the sun in one frame, the day that it was taken? This just seems to embody the day we live in.

You don't need too much technology for a shot like this. Film cameras could do this picture, too.

/I don't mean to pick on you. Just providing information.

eqtworld: you beg the question

While I see the similarities, I don't think this is entirely begging the question here, and I don't see it as a fallacy.

I'm saying I know myself to be able to think and determine things for myself by virtue of existing. As in, I'm the person typing this.. I'm the person struggling to cap off this post. (As far as I know, that's the only absolute I know of) You might be a daydream I'm having or something. Or a chat bot.

and why has no one tried to explain the lens flares on the 3 suns?

Persepolis 2007-12-22 10:23:44 PM
eqtworld: Then I would not have free will.

For you, not for me.

As I said. This is my understanding for me.

If some guy is standing next to me, I can punch him or I can let him be.

I don't know if it would really hurt him or not if I do punch him, but I know I'm the one throwing said punch, and I believe it's not the right thing to do, so I (for myself) choose not to throw that punch.

its less a lens flare than shot at different aperture, prolly a higher f#

I was amazed to learn there were still Zoroastrians in the world. In Canada to, of all places.

eqtworld: Physics is relative but not subjective. There is either fate or free will. not both.

It's impossible to know for sure.

It is possible to know as far as I'm concerned, and that's what I base my belief in.

I'm not saying it's fact. It's faith. And there's nothing wrong with it.

/at least I try to make this world daydream of a magic superbeetle in another universe a better place through my actions. I think that's the important thing.
