FTFA: Following "Home," a noticeable amount of folks headed for the exits even though the band had more music to play:

"Hey, where y'all going?" Daughtry asked.

For them, apparently the party was over.

OUCH.

"It's almost enough to make one appreciate Scott Stapp"

"Almost" is a key word here.

Not all Scott Stapp/Creed music is bad.

They rock live: Link (new window)

if anyone saw Daughtry on the Indy 500 pre show...YIKE!!!

I heard Daughtry on the radio for the first time yesterday while driving to the in-laws for Christmas.

I was not impressed. It sounds like the same tuneless garbage commercial radio has been playing since...well...Creed.

For a sec there I thought they meant Doughty (pops).

And while he's come down a bit since soul coughing, I didn't think he deserved such a harsh line. Glad I was mistaken.

Now I just feel old and out of touch. Meh.

For the record:

Soul Coughing/Mike Doughty = awesome
This AI tool = mediocre and lucky to be touring at the level he is
Scott Stapp = the worst musical attrocity of my life time, maybe ever

Oh jesus i just listened to an entire scott stapp song, just to keep informed. WHY GOD WHY!?!?!

Seriously that sucked ass, I have to go listen to 70's No-Wave, just to detune my brain from that horror. I will then reboot with early garage bands, Television/Talking Heads, most of Eno/Albini back catalogs and a sampler of Sub-Pop's heyday bands. I'll be a few hours fixing myself.

Fark can hurt even the forewarned.

"Hey, where y'all going?" Daughtry asked.

Well duh...they were going home. To the place where they belonged.

Such is the power of the message behind Daughtry's music.

And yes, please to not confuse with the Soul Coughing.

Isn't that the guy who sounds just like the guy from Nickelback? How unnecessary can you get?

So when's the next Bumblefoot show?

To hell with Daughtry, how about some Daltrey: FREE ME!

more than Limp Bizkit? really? I'd take a Creed marathon over just one Limp Bizkit song.

Daughtry is a very likeable guy. He also has a damn good voice and he's making the music he wants to. So, it's not appealing to everyone. His dream has come true and good for him.

Daughtry's under contract - probably a pretty restrictive one. Even if, deep in his heart, he wants to write ground-breaking, soul-searing music, I don't think he'd be allowed to do so. The people who are pushing him want more of the same pablum they have been feeding us over terrestrial radio for all these years. I'd almost feel sorry for him, but he's going along with it. That makes him part of the problem.

Limp Bizkit's first album was half-decent. It wasn't over-produced like the rest of their crap and the Fred Durst hadn't developed that aweful whiney high-pitched thing he does all the time now. I'm not saying it was a great album, but I don't mind it so much; the rest of their work is total crap...

Meanwhile on Creed's first album they managed to cut right to the chase, they took suck to a whole new level and then it just got exponentially worse with each album.

Fred Durst is an annoying retard, Scott Stapp is the musical antichrist. Shades of grey maybe, but if there is something out there worse than Creed I thankfully haven't heard it...

I'm proud to say I have never seen a single episode of American Idol and therefore have no idea who this person is. I know who Creed is though and I hate them. With the passion of the heat from 10,000 suns. Yes I do.

Actually, I've never seen a single reality show What the hell is wrong with me!!1!

I went to a concert about 9 months ago, where Daughtry somehow made it onto the bill, but was lodged between Nonpoint and Sevendust.

/Didn't work out so well for him

It's like comparing a glass rod shoved up the ass and broken off to a glass rod shoved up the penis and broken off.

Went to Game 4 of the '04 WS at Busch Stadium, btw/ the Cards & Sox. Stapp was there to sing "God Bless America" during the 7th inning stretch. It was absolutely horrendous. I'm not sure if it was some Cards exec, someone at FOX, or with MLB, but whoever thought, "Hey, remember Creed? I hear the lead-singer is a little hard-up for some good publicity. Maybe we should invite him to sing." Whoever that was deserves to be shot.

Thank god for Myles Kennedy.

Look at all the clones, disliking the bands everyone else hates. I honestly do not understand the hatred for Creed. Can someone please explain it to me?

Yea, the stories played out in the media, make Stapp out to be a total douchebag, and he most likely is a total douchebag. But how does that reflect on the music his band created? I don't get it.

Seriously. If you need it explained to you why Creed sucks horrifically, there's no hope for you.

Wow.

If you want to know what Daughtry does when he's not under contract, check out the website (new window) for his old band, Absent Element. There are a few of the songs you can listen to on the Media page.

Things he does under contract include, opening for Bon Jovi in Philly in March.

That is all.

This guy is a cross between Limp's whining and Stapp's sucking.

I've never heard any "personal stories" about him. Buuuuuut I've heard his abortion he calls music, and that's plenty! It's like Pearl Jam for little children.
