Uri Geller has been making a good living from this one trick for a very long time.
Oh, yea I know. He does his little magnet trick sometimes too, but this spoon bending trick is his bread and butter.

I let my in-laws come so that I can sit in a corner with a bottle of wine and watch them amuse me. They all think I'm the anti-christ anyway.

The whiskey trick, notwithstanding the shiatty directions, is the only worthwhile. And the whiskey is still drinkable after, if very slightly watered down. I know because upon reading it I immediately scurried off to the kitchen, credit card in hand, to try it, and drank the Scotch when finished.

\mmm, Scotch.

*the only worthwhile one.

I, by contrast, cannot create a worthwhile sentence without recourse to my precious preview before post. Must fix this.

Absolutely useless article. I need a trick to make my brother's wife disappear.

What am I missing here? It seems as if leaving a small gap would leave the liquid from the top glass all over the surface that the bottom glass is on.

slide the card out from in between the glasses just enough so the whiskey and water can mix.

I'm pretty sure the whiskey trick was already covered in Fark some months ago.. it was part of some video on "stupid pub tricks" or something.

lemme check the youtube..

Ok, it was on bets/cons/tricks.

I was really expecting a Rick Roll here. So in a way, I anti-Rick Rolled myself.

Still, shouldn't sliding the card out make the whiskey spill out the side, rather than up into the top glass. I could understand how this would work if there was a hole in the middle of the card. That way, it's still a contained system.

Pretend you are wiping your nose with the back of your hand and discreetly spit on your hand.

Classy.

Actually, the entire paragraph about the 'Card Bend' was hilarious to me. Definitely the high point of the entire article.

heh.. i never did understand the rickroll thing. *shrug*

i've been wondering how much to pull the card out.. i guess that with a small enough gap, even though the seal is breached, the surface tension is high enough that it doesn't break free and spill out.

That's one hideous chick they picked for the photos. Why does the UK have such a shortage of good looking women?

McDougal: "pulled your crackers?" okay, I'm game if cousin Lucille is there.

Came here wondering WTH is this "pulled your crackers" myself. I think this relates to something my mom caught me doing when I was nine, and she told me to lock the door in the future.
