How could you ruin this timeless classic like that? This is my all time favorite Christmas song followed closely by Reverend Horton Heat's rendition of "Santa looked a lot like Daddy".

BBC TV had a whole programme discussing the Brits love of the word c*nt. Perhaps they should stick to solving the age old question of Can Fat Teens Hunt?

I love that song.

Seconded.

Submitted earlier, blah blah blah...

Long-time favorite of mine too. Loved Kirsty MacColl paired with Shane. Who would've thought she'd be dead before him?

Another current favorite: Robert Earl Keen's "Merry Christmas from the Family." (pops)

So I tell the swamp donkey to sock it before I give her a trunky in the tradesman's entrance and have her lick me yardballs!

I feel sorry for people who can't see past the vulgarity of Fairy Tale of New York to the deeper meaning of the song. They're missing out on something wonderful.

On a related note, Kirsty MacColl is the only artist I've ever grieved for. An amazing talent and decent person taken from us far too soon.

Nestea Plunge: Mexico, being the shiat-arse garbage country it is, didn't even investigate her death.

Mexico is a wealthy country, but very corrupt. With the current illegal alien situation in our country, we (US) are supporting this corruption when we should pressure the Mexican govt to clean itself up. Either way, the average Mexican loses.

thanks for that post on both counts

I had this on my wedding CD that I put together and so many people thought that is was a "bad sign" and "wrong"

/either you get the Irish mentality or you don't
//and no, dressing up and getting drunk once a year at a parade is not the correct answer
///beautiful poet, that Shane

wasn't the person driving the boat "connected" so that's why it wasn't really investigated?

thought it was something like that

/like a Mexican Ted Kennedy event?
//what's the Spanish equivalent for "Ted?"

Shane MacGowan's birthday is on Christmas. And he turns 50 years old this year. If I didn't believe in Christmas miracles before, I do now.

Yeha.. got to love those mexicans. Fark that farking f'd up country... demanding 110% from everyone else and delivering nothing themselves.

Getting back to FONY, it's been on my Christmas mix for awhile.

Absolutely the best Christmas song ever. Followed closely by Fear's "fark Christmas."

This song was on repeat at a Chinese buffet I ate with my folks at a couple weeks ago... at 11:30am... with kids around.

Awesomeness.

/next up: ICP, "Santa Claus Is A Fat Biatch"
//after that, Fear, "Fark Christmas"
