Why? Did the PATRIOT Act get renewed? Because until that happens we aren't safe!

Yes it's safe... it's very safe...

Good thing I was kicked out of Caesar's a few years ago.

/prefer The Bellagio or Four Seasons

Joce678 2007-12-16 06:12:45 PM
...seen by nearly 3 million fans and took in more than $400 million

So they all paid more than $133 for the privilage?

That's farked up.

My wife and I stayed at Caesar's Palace last year at a company paid convention.

There were mirror's over the bed. The room was over the Shadow Lounge so we could hear a lot of rhythmic bass beats.

Good times. Good times.

/4th visit to Vegas.
//Mirage, Luxor, Venetian and Caesar's.
///Planning a trip in 2 months.
////Craps is me game. Would never play at Caesar's though.

Best Vegas act currently running.
See 'em at the Rio.

agreed.

The only kind of show I like to see in Vegas is a strip show.

Olympic Gardens ftw!

Dustin_00 2007-12-16 06:21:41 PM
But I thought they were taking away the free booze to the gamblers... so what's the point of it being safe?

She deserves the credit for single handedly sinking Chrysler. I never flipped a channel so fast as when I would hear, "I drove all niyiyiyiyiiyiyiyight .....

OscarTamerz: She deserves the credit for single handedly sinking Chrysler.

No, Chrysler making crap cars deserves the credit for single handedly sinking Chrysler. Celine sang that song for a promo for the Pacifica, and I don't think I've ever seen a single one that's not in a showroom or car show. Obviously they exist, but I have yet to see one on the road.

ttc2301 2007-12-16 06:29:05 PM
She laughed all the way to the bank.

They have something for everyone. ;-)

Shows/events I have seen in Vegas.

Don Rickles
Mayweather vs. Corrales
George Carlin
The Amazing Jonathan
Lance Burton
Blue Man Group

GoofingOff 2007-12-16 06:31:11 PM
I live in Vegas and worked 4 years at a company that sold show tickets to all the shows. I was required to go to a lot of shows to see if we wanted to bring their show on to our roster of ticket selling. Never did see Celine cause, well I didn't want to. And to Espertron P&T is terrible! Honestly, the best show that nobody knows about is the Scintas.

God damn you.

/That was perfect

The Asshole Guy 2007-12-16 06:41:55 PM
I would never go to a concert of hers but I would throw a bone in her for the fun of it. She can sing and does have a nice voice and she is not that bad to look at. Her nose could tickle your anus in a sixty-nine.

offacue 2007-12-16 06:45:53 PM
Now she can get back to the lab to work on a new perfume.

Hey, it was either that or this.

LedLawless 2007-12-16 06:50:34 PM
Anyone notice the link to buy Celine Dion tickets after the article about her final show there?

lelio 2007-12-16 06:51:10 PM
X-Nun: No, it's not. (pops)

Danny Gans is still there? Last time I went I didn't see the huge sign of his and thought it was closed down.

Who pays $100 for that kind of entertainment?

Just Arrived 2007-12-16 07:01:24 PM
Damn that is a lot of money wasted.

FTA:
During the farewell show, she disclosed that poor reviews and a pregnancy early on nearly sank the project.
She said of the early going, "At one point, it was like feeling like the Titanic was about to sink again."

Yeah, it was just like that.

I think I've got a crush on Celine Dion
The way she beats her chest when she sings a love song
There's something about her makes me want to feed her
And I'd love to be Mister Celine Dion
She'll sing a song in English, and she'll sing en francais
Both the songs will suck, but I love her anyway
She's full of emotion, I'm full of devotion
For Celine and I'll be hers someday

Yes. She yelled a song right at me once.

shiat, at first I read that as, "It's safe to go back to Vaginas now." Glad to know I was mistaken!

studebaker hoch 2007-12-16 07:41:35 PM
That can mean only one thing:

SHE'S GOING ON TOUR!

This will give tens of thousands of people a chance to see her who wouldn't be caught dead in Vegas.

xlbrooklyn [TotalFark] 2007-12-16 08:10:34 PM
Nothing makes Vegas safe to go back to. Nothing can help that disease-riddled, filth-encrusted stinkhole. If there were but one nuke in the entire world and the entire religion of Islam was charging our borders intent on murder, rape, mayhem, destruction, and rape, I'd still choose to use that one a-bomb on Vegas. I'd rather take my chances with the Islamo-fascists than have city of such perdition and shame within my country's borders.

Fortunately, it's a city well on its way to self-destruction.

Dude... Wow. I mean, I've done poorly at the craps table on occasion and the street pamphlet handlers can be annoying, but... wow! Just... wow!

/speechless.

I have seen Spamalot and the Amazing Johnathan in Vegas. I am not sure what to see next. I will probably go see a Circe De Solis show.

I go to vegas.com (new window) to get tickets but I would like to know a good vegas show review website. According to Vegas.com every show is good.

// Celine Dion was way at the bottom of my list.

Satchel_Brown 2007-12-16 08:20:33 PM
Whoa, Francis. I just moved here. It's no worse than any big city as far as disease and filth-encrustedness. I guess if you fear Muslims and carry the flag of solid wholesome Christian morality, you would hate Vegas. Fair enough.

Me, on the other hand: I moved cuz I got a nice job, I live in a nice area of town, and I dig the entertainment scene. I don't see myself settling here forever, but it's a nice change of pace from the east coast.

I have friends who have done all sorts of farked up stuff. All varieties of perversions (no kid stuff), drugs, larceny, what ever.

But no way would I associate with someone who pays to see Celine Dion.

I liked these two shows.

MAMMA MIA! The Global Smash Hit

The Beatles™ LOVE™ by Cirque du Soleil®

I saw some other Cirque du Soleil shows but I can't remember their names. The were amazing though... just not amazing enough to remember their name. ;)

I'm moving there on January 1st. It seems to be a love it or hate it city. I suppose not that different than other cities. I too will be moving to a nice area (Summerlin) and enjoying the lower cost of living and absence of State Tax. =)

theorellior 2007-12-16 08:35:25 PM
I'll always remember one of my favorite phrases from the Onion:

"The leathery, mongoose-like charms of Celine Dion."

You Die! 2007-12-16 08:37:12 PM
Now you just have to deal with Toni Braxton.

Wareq: They found the Anthrax Leprosy Pi?

It was in a phone booth reserved for Clark Kent.

For all those Dion crazed fans out there, she tried to cover AC-DCs "You Shook Me All Night Long". Now be quiet.

/That is all
