2000 elections: "Which candidate would I want to sit down and have a beer with?"

2008 elections: "Which candidate would I like to split an 8-ball with?"

That's easy. Can you imagine getting high with Hillary Clinton? You wouldn't be able to leave her alone with the stuff long enough to take a leak.

FriarTuck 2007-12-16 02:18:50 PM
Imagine how bad her eyes would bug out and how shrill she'd be. That's what Bill's life was like in the early 80's...

Obama would probably just try to hit on your girlfriend and fark with the levels on your stereo.

Drug use, not drug dealing mongoloidmitter.

And yet being a closeted gay, a pill popper, or a bribed and owned corporate lackey never hurts the GOP. America deserves its fate at the hands of idiots they continue to believe in despite overwhelming evidence.

thamike 2007-12-16 05:34:57 PM
Afternoon_Delight: I guarantee you they've some high-paid PI's (armed with bribe money) searching for Obama's 'connections'. The Clintons are not going to let go of this thing. No way.

Political suicide.

If Obama is ahead in the polls against the GOP candidate in September, the GOP will publish photoshopped pics of him blowing the devil, if they think it will help them.

And Hillary will do the same, if she deems it beneficial to her chances of winning the nomination.

Afternoon_Delight: You know, now that I think of it, the Clintons still have an arrow in their quiver they haven't used yet - i.e. the subject of Obama's dealer.

'I experimented in college'; that's what everybody says. It's like 'social liberal, fiscal conservative'. Everybody says that.

But unless Obama didn't snort coke to get high (He just liked the way it smelled?), why would he quit just because he got a diploma?

My point is this: Obama's a pretty young guy. Chances are he still knows his old dealer or knows someone who does. Think about it. This is a law enforcement issue. The Clintons can claim (during a debate, for example) that the nation needs to know if Obama's dealer is still on the street 'selling to kids'.

I guarantee you they've some high-paid PI's (armed with bribe money) searching for Obama's 'connections'. The Clintons are not going to let go of this thing. No way.

Are you serious? Many of the liberal base is at the very least slightly tolerant of past drug use. If Hillary did this the 40% of people who absolutely won't vote for her will turn into 60%.

I don't see those comments as anything incendiary but Shaheen's resignation/firing speaks volumes.

Keep trying, Hillary. Obama is the best choice for President.

To heck with Hillary. Gravel, all the way.

Obama has admitted that he smoked marijuanas "And I inhaled, that's the point" and did coke when he could afford it. Apparently in college he realized he was being an idiot and stopped.

So it's not a case of him trying to hid anything-he's already came out openly with it even before he ran for president. The point that the writer was attempting to make was how the previous two presidents side stepped the question. Clinton said he "did" but didn't which is lame and Bush said he just made a few mistakes and never explained or admitted anything.

So unless he's STILL doing something...then the Republicans really can't go after him. It's only when you hide something when you get screwed.

Holy shiat, you're even more retarded when you stop posting cartoons and type actual words.

Seriously? Is that the way you see it going down? Your Clinton Derangement Syndrome has developed into full-blown typhus.

CaptainFatass 2007-12-16 08:46:14 PM
How can you draw the conclusion that the GOP won't use Obama's drug use against him from an Op-Ed piece? The author doesn't even try to make that claim.

On that criteria, I'd have to go with Thompson. Just for the "holy shiate, I'm getting high with the guy from Law and Order!!!" factor.

They're at a loss for words at your stupidity?

Oh god, I would hate to do sheets with any politician. If people with a lot less conviction in their opinions can't shut the fark up on coke, can you imagine any of these guys?

If you really, really wanted something, and had a history of getting your way, who's to say you wouldn't resort to rather underhanded tactics to get it?

//yes, AD has a point
//and is absolutely adorable

Oh man, I can't believe people still bite on Afternoon_Delight but I have to admit, that post was fantastic. I lol'd.

Horseshiat. Nobody cares about this. Not about the drug use once upon a time... Not about the dealer. You have to be on drugs if you believe what you just wrote. Who are you, and why do you post such an endless stream of stupidity on Fark? Do you snort paint chips while watching Fox News? Or do you read the Washington Times while sitting under high voltage power lines? Seriously? What the hell is wrong with you?

I don't think the GOP are going to bring up any new dirt as we could just ask where the 2000 trillion-dollar budget surplus went.

rynthetyn 2007-12-17 02:58:59 AM
The only people who are going to care about Obama's past drug use are the ones who aren't going to be voting for him anyway.

Heck, I'm a Republican and I don't care. I'd rather have someone be honest and admit what they did and that it was a bad decision rather than the "didn't inhale" or "young and irresponsible" crap.

ilambiquated 2007-12-17 04:34:29 AM
Problem: Everything the Republicans touch turns to shiat.

Solution: Invent random "scandals" involving the Democrats, accusing them of being almost as bad as Republicans.

www.musselinn.co.nz

Mmmm love that red herring. It's gooood!

Nemo's Brother 2007-12-17 08:40:38 AM
I think the young and stupid defense is a much better route than the "I didn't inhale." Clinton can't even be honest when he is "telling the truth."

Crude 2007-12-17 12:18:31 PM
...and when did he stop beating his wife?

No, wait...gotta say that the GOP asked that...
