the judge is retarded. What an asinine ruling.

Unless there's some bizarre demographic hiccup coming down the pike, in 5 years there will still be 15 year old girls.

GAT_00 [TotalFark] 2007-12-16 11:31:29 AM
Is that really a legal ruling?

And does this judge actually think that because he made this idiotic ruling that no 15 year old will lust after a rock star again?

It could have been worse, the Central Scrutinizer could have sent him to work in the Utility Muffin Research Kitchen.

The band is friends with Victory Records, so I think this is a good ruling.

that passes for "heavy metal" these days?

"used music to win the favor of underage girls,"

uh oh...I have some very incriminating mix tapes out there

Nailwounds?

Since when has Christian death metal been big with teenage girls?

After hearing the music, I now agree with the ruling.

SUPER FAIL!

"Music?" That's just noise and a guy sounding like he's barfing his guts up.

They should all be banned from playing their "music" for life.

After hearing the music, I say this is an activist judge we can all agree with.

Sounds like metal core.

Anyway, one of the miscreants I work with has a son who is in a band. Their page (which I can't find now) makes 'em look like america's most wanted. All 4 guys have black hair/makeup and a ton of piercings....when I first saw them I thought "another metal core band?". Mom said "they really rock" and gave me a CD. 10 songs...one was metalish, the other were ballads. Freaking ballads like you'd hear at a coffee house.

*yawn*

I love the programmed drums. They sound like they were done by someone who's never actually heard a drumkit. Makes me giggle!

So I guess doing a cover of "All In The Name Of.." by Motley Crue would not be appropriate for them after this?

I'm a little surprised the band wasn't named The Luis Polonia Experience.

nevermind after listening to their music i agree this judge probably likes good music and by banning this loser is doing their city a good favor.

TheDuderino -- why don't you put your band's page on your profile, or at least write about it or something!

There are tons of farkers who are always seeking great sounds...

Hi-fives abound, my friend. Nothing good has come from that label since they put out Omega Sessions in, like, '94 or something.

SpaceSalad 2007-12-17 02:13:47 PM
At first I thought that the judge's ruling was ridiculous but, it actually makes alot of sense. I mean if you just put the guy in jail he'd serve his time and then probably make up a bunch of songs about his experience and blah blah blah. And thus the cycle would start again. BUT, if you take away his public performances he'll actually have to find something else to do with his life.

Barnacles!: the judge is retarded. What an asinine ruling.

You're right - he should have just sent him to prison for 5 years.

If the kid doesn't like it, no one is going to stop him from violating his probation - he will, however, have to face the consequences.
