Is Jon Stewart writing Fark headlines while the strike's on or what? This sounds like something out of his mouth.

That's pretty much it. They're running out of money, from an insider at his campaign. Plus, what else would you expect retired military guys to do? He promises to expand the military (presumably to kick everybody's ass) and lower taxes. He needs money, but not for busfare.

I am not Jon Stewart, but I did once work at The Onion.

/hence the majority of my greenlights being humor of the "[what the article is about] [comma] [punchline]" variety

If you don't like McCain's position on an issue, just wait a few weeks and it'll change.

Ah, the one potential Republican candidate that I would vote for aaaaaaaand he's being beat by everyone, including Ron "batshiat insane" Paul and the guy who makes even fundie Republicans afraid.

Republican John McCain has won the backing of over 100 retired admirals and generals

Admirals and generals aren't the guys fighting on the front lines. I wonder who the actual soldiers are supporting...

At one point I would have said that if Dr. Paul didn't win the nomination, I might...might vote for McCain in the general election. After the Hitler cheap shot he took at Congressman Paul during the youtube debate, there's no way I'm voting for McCain.

Hang On Voltaire [TotalFark] 2007-12-16 11:27:12 AM
He is probably going to get my vote. Won't really matter since the nominees will be selected by the time I vote. Pretty fair system there where NH and Iowa select our nominees.

wow, over a hundred.....keep it up war monger you've got about 30,000 to go before you catch Ron Paul.

One hundred flag officers isn't that much. The Army alone currently has about 250 one-star generals on active duty right now.

He seems too old and out of touch, and his ridiculous photo op in that "perfectly safe Iraqi market*" pissed out a lot of GIs.

*provided you have two infantry companies, a cavalry regiment, and an entire combat aviation brigade protecting you.
