Heh, yeah I got the same feeling although I did finish it.

Also, why can't they do a signature analysis on the documents?

By the time you have been registered as a sex offender.

/unless it's already happened

Hmm...you know, I can see how he might think "Bindi" was "Mindy," as Terri looks like Pam Dawber. Sort of.

That's quite a sting.

Lawyers for the firm - which operates in Melbourne from a post office box - lodged another writ on December 7 seeking $60,000 from Terri Irwin.

Wow. That's the mark of legitimacy!!!!

I'd say why even worry about the documents. Where are the plaintiffs? Reading the story I get that some lawyer or lawyers have filed a suit on behalf of somebody. I'd be saying produce the somebody or he doesn't exist.

Here's the article that started it:Link (new window)

and there were at least 4 green lit threads of epic awesomeness. Much of it owed to mab1283

and why did I just vote him 1?

because you're a smart farker

Ral 2007-12-15 09:36:18 PM
I think what happened is that Steve Irwin's estate and the Australia Zoo each got a random letter out of the blue by some company called HQZ claiming they owed $2.5 mil to someone that HQZ claims to represent.

Also appears that this HQZ has been doing this to a bunch of small businesses all over Australia for a little while. Nobody can seem to find anyone admitting to being affiliated with HQZ, and the return address is a PO Box.

It reeks of "scam" and they made the mistake of targeting someone high-profile.

I heard she is going to come out with a cover of Puff Daddy's "I'll Be Missing You".

/Maybe she and the stingray were in on the plot to kill Steve like Puff Daddy and the shooter were in on the plot to kill Biggie.

Lawsuit sounds like a croc too. An offshore company on an island tax haven, that's been raided by the fuzz in the past, who claim one of their reps signed a deal to give them money????

There doesn't even seem to be any names attached to these dummy corporations.

Sounds like some douchebag is throwing as much shiat as they can at the wall to see what sticks.

She probably feels it too. Carrying on for the kids. They seemed genuinely fond of each other. Time heals but Christmas a hard time when you are missing family.

Tell me about it. My dad died in October. I don't think Terri will ever recover though. She may be doing it for the kids, but she looks incredibly unhappy.

You sir, win internets.

I don't think that's a big thing though. I've won many internets in my time, but haven't seen a scrap of good come from it.

What a scam.

Why do all Australians have a certain look? You can look at them and just know they're Aussies.

I think you have to trade them in. Once you get, like, a hundred internets, you can choose from the bottom row. There's little bunnies, bears, and I think that one's a kitty.

I can trade in for a bear? That would be neat, to have a big bear as my buddy!

There's scamming the widow lady and then there is scamming the highly visible, very well liked, and intelligent widow lady. I hope those creeps get what's coming to them. I thought Steve Irwin was the biggest doofus in the world, but I felt very sad when I heard he'd died. His wife seemed massively tolerant and the kid seems like a real pistol.
