I'd like to assure Chris that should he be held hostage the rest of the world will take all possible steps to secure his immediate release.

Can he take Dennis DeYoung with him?

Last month, the government announced a campaign against rap music...

submitter: "Lady in Red Burqa"

Burqas are worn next door, in Afghanistan.

I would've gone for a headline involving his other hit song, something along the lnes of "...voices out of sight heard saying "don't do it"". If just to avoid any reference to Lady in Red, which the less it gets referenced, the better for humanity.

I'd like to thank Mr. Deburgh for "Lady in Red". When you're at a wedding reception, it's nice to know there's a chance you'll be slow-dancing to something other than "Unchained Melody."

If Dennis DeYoung goes, you'd better give him time to properly say goodbye to "Babe." And Dennis? Maybe you want to memorize your girlfriend's name this time out?

Don't pay the terrorist
Don't even fix a price
Don't pay the terrorist
Until he gets you to the other side

Nice, CheddarPants!

/That's the song I think of when I hear Chris DeBurgh's name
//Damn, I'm old...

Ditto, though I just block out Lady in Red more than anything. I can well remember when Don't Pay the Ferryman was a big hit.

Chris De Burgh has a song about when the Crusaders of the 3rd (i think) crusade took back Jerusalem from Saladin. I wonder if He'll play that.

Or Maybe Priscilla The Stripper.

/And with a swing of her hips...

For those who don't like "Lady in Red" (by which I mean people with some musical taste), maybe you would like the snooker version by Mitchell and Webb.

Some good hash over there. maybe he'll get stoned

And there's always Bill Bailey's take on the man...

'Lady in Red'?

One of the worse songs ever; up there with that other pieces of shiart "Wonderful Tonight" and 'Layla'.

We're sick and tired of hearing
That the world is gonna blow,
So there's something we'll do to the leaders
Before we go

Let's stick 'em in a room together
And make them fight it out,
Until they see nothing from nothing
Will leave nothing at all

Wouldn't this count as a terrorist attack on Iran?

I saw Styx a couple months ago with Dennis' replacement. The guy actaully sounds great, very impressive.

He's also gayer than 1000 Liberace's on ecstacy.
