I've just recently been listening to the 60s/70s (and currentish) band Uriah Heep (which wikipedia mentions as one of the precursors to the heavy metal genre) - some of the lyrics are incredibly positive. "Been stealin' when I should've been buying" and "Easy living, and I've been forgiven, since you've taken your place in my heart."

If you had, you would have learned that one of the founding members of S.O.D. is a Mr. Scott Ian, also known as Scott Ian Rosenfeld, of Jewish descent.
