Slightly. I was concerned for the health of the baby, mostly because there would have been some pressure on the family to leave the child as is and install her as an object of worship.

Good to see that didn't happen though. Superstitions are really powerful there.

I'm sure the members of Homo Erectus wish they'd killed the first Homo Sapien. Homo Spaien probably looked pretty harmless too. A big fragile skull, what good is that? I would expect any intelligent species to try and resist a large drastic evolutionary step like that.

Excuse me, but...FTA "My daughter is going to lead a normal life." Looking at the pictures, the xray, and the 3-D mock-up, it seems to me that she is missing some parts before the operation.

Extra arms, check.
Extra legs, check.
Extra spine, check.
Any semblance of normal human plumbing?
Where's her Vishnu now?

If you turn off the "Safe Search" option in your Google Images, life gets way more interesting...and much less safe for work.

Your best bet would be to follow Megain's link that was posted near the top of this thread. Good link and possibly NSFW.

My first guest is they the Mods determined it to be in violation of the rule: "Don't post graphic images or links to graphic content."

Graphic is in the eye of the beholder. Some Mods are beholderer than others.

I'll bet you click on RugbyJock's links too, don't you? There's just something about the shock factor that you can get from looking at stuff on the internet that you would never ever see otherwise. Also explains the popularity of 2girls1cup and other viral links that have made the circuit.

You're not the first, not even in this thread. Nice smug attitude.

Dirtydan: Why do the really freakish birth defects always happen in India?

Probably because of the ridiculous levels of pollution. Read up on the Ganges.

lol nah, I restrict my curiosity to GIS, that way things are thumbnailed, and less scarring.

Well, if that's the case, here's a link (new window; potentially graphic?) to an article with a couple pictures of squid-kid herself.
