In other news, 40- and 50-somethings have a lot more disposable income than 30-year-olds.

Are you saying that 30-year-olds are Timberlake's audience? If so, I'm certainly happy to be out of that demographic.

In other news...

The downside of keeping your dick in a box is that eventually you blow out a vas defren. Don't talk about that in Tantric Sex School now do they?

You're about 15 years too old on that demographic...

And still haven't discovered that stadium shows pretty much suck. Unless you bought the premium seats, you're better off watching crappy cell-phone video of it on youtube while you're listening to the CD.

One more thing about 40 and 50 somethings at a concert. Your dancing sucks! Don't do it! You might think you look good shaking it in your mommy jeans but you don't, sir.

It's too bad he went solo. He was much funnier with the cop, the indian chief and the construction worker.

What are you doing at a concert with 40 and 50 somethings if you hate the music so much?

It's almost a 15 year reunion, maybe longer for the Police. Of course they'd sell more than Justin Timberlake, subby. FAIL.

Another '80s band, Genesis, also left Timberlake in the dust. According to Billboard, their Turn It on Again tour's 46 shows grossed $129 million.

Pete, Steve...are you guys hearing this?

See, that's where the disposable income comes in handy.

/Genesis 2007 rocked

Well you see The Police actually have talent, style and poise and a history whereas Mr. Timberfagg sings like little white girl lost in a black neighborhood at night.

Then why the hell did they get Fergie as support?

I could think of plenty of young people that would rather see the "Police" than Justin Timberlake.

Hasn't anyone ever played the "Roxanne" drinking game?

//23, saw the Police in Atlanta and have to say it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen

Veggies 2007-12-18 02:29:24 AM
I don't like Timberlake's music.

The Police are amazing. (Sting solo BLOWS though) They had an ever-lasting effect of Rock and Punk in their time, no doubt about it.

That said, Timberlake is the superior performer. Why? He's the Springsteen of pop; he knows how to entertain his audience, and he LIVES to please them when he's on stage. I watched his HBO special, the guy may not be a master musician, but he can play guitar and piano well enough to thrust him up there with other pop greats over the years.

I'm not a big pop listener; but Timberlake has that aura around him that performers like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Prince gained their real success from, and sometimes that's what can really make an artist (look at KISS, for christssake).

The Police are musically superior, no doubt about it, but honestly I think you get more for your dollar with Timberlake, and you also spend way less to see him. That said, I'll pay top dollar to see really great music for its own value without all the goodies, too. It really depends on the artist, and what you're in the mood for.
