I love Fark. I used to love South Park. However, Fark threads have caused me to hate South Park.

Unless those renovations were done by Ents absorbing the CO2 around them, he's still a big, fat, eco-hypocrite.

Funny aside, I've met several people who thought the smog in Knoxville was smoke from the Smokey Mountains.

The "smoke" in the Smokies has been greatly increased by smog, on some days up to 80%- there is a relationship, but not what they're thinking.

Is Wonkette a sponsored link, or is there actually someone out there who reads it?

People you don't like who are grumpy are miserable pricks, people who you don't like who are happy are smug.

Lazy, biatchy assholes are the only people that use the word smug anymore.

Yeah, it was sad the first time I went up in the mountains and saw the devastation caused by parasites and pollution.

Hey, cool.

Now Gore's coal fired mega-mansion is just as eco-friendly as GWB's photo-op in Crawford!

Being upset about Al Gore's house is the new black. Conform and obey.

larry00 2007-12-14 06:39:51 AM
Some people are just mad because Bush did his house on his own before taking office and without having to be drug through the streets by the press.

He went as far as using deep groundwater for cooling and heating which in the Texas heat saves a ton of carbon credits.

Bush is one of only 6 six Harvard Grads with his Graduate Degree who have held the top office.

Thats Graduate work after completing 4 years at Yale.

Some tend to forget that factoid due to Bush Derangement Syndrome.

InternetLOL 2007-12-14 07:14:20 AM
larry00

He also lied his way into an unjustified war that has gotten ~100,000 people killed and wounded and a couple million more displaced for the benefit of himself and the handful of private corporations he's emptied this nation's coffers into.

But carbon credits are a good start.

/Kinda trolling.

It doesn't matter what Al Gore does, his bashers will find a way to bash him for it. There is no hate like the hate conservatives have for Al Gore. Maybe only tehir hate of Hilliary is more nasty.

Thinking someone is a pathetic poseur is not "hate" so much as "dislike" or "disdain".
I still recall how in the VP debates vs. farkin' "Mr. Potato" DAN QUAYLE the Al-ster
kept claiming that quotes from (supposedly) "his" book EITB weren't actually in there -
when they actually were. Forgive my "hatefullness" for pointing this out, but the only
explanation for that short of Alzheimers is that Al's book was written largely by a ghostwriter
and Al hadn't bothered to read it all the way through at the time.

Hell, even the POPE (new window) thinks Al's full of it - is he a "hate monger" as well then?

//Saw some recent stats on actual carbon emission increase rates vs. Kyoto sign-age.
//List of countries that DID sign up? - On average worse than the world average.
//List of countries that chose not to? - On average better than the world average.
//Including the US, btw........

In the beginning, when we try to warn you, we're "moonbats".
In the end, when it turns out we were right, we're "smug".

Whatever it takes to not have to listen to people who actually know what they're talking about, right guys?

The Pope also thinks there's a great amount of validity to the evolutionary theory and that teaching "intelligent design" in science class would be a bad idea.

As was every young boy in Germany at the time - since membership was compulsory -
normal behavior for a Socialist gov't - even a National Socialist one.

//Being born in Germany and being boy-scout age between the years 1936 and 1945
//(the period it was compulsory) really isn't the fault on the kid in question, is it?

//Do you have anymore zings or talking points vs. the Pope you plan

Wait. You get your scientific analysis from the Pope? Why not these people?

Wait, you get your scientific analysis from Al ("Sea Level will rise 20 feet") Gore?

The same dude who flunked out of Divinity School?
//In 62% of his classes he was awarded "F"s.

The same dude trounced in a debate by Dan ("Mr Potato") Quayle?

The same dude who was surprised by what was written in "his" book?

The same dude whose (award-winning) documentary was so full of easily corrected
factual errors that a UK court banned it from straight use as educational material?

Okaaay.....

Actually, if you read my link, I'm getting my information from primary, peer-reviewed publications. The meta-analysis I linked will give you a good idea of what the direct measurements have to say.

Where did I cite Gore as an authority?

And again, you get your scientific analysis from the Pope?

Dude, this whole thread is about Al Gore - and his
"do as I say - not as I do" and "the sky is falling" stances on GCC

And if you read what I said rather than knee-jerk to it, I wasn't so much
"quoting the Pope as a Scientific Authority" - as I was citing him in
response to a Farker equating criticism of Gore with hate-speech.

That said, might I suggest you actually READ what the Pope said about GW
and give an example of ONE thing he said there that's contrary to known facts?
//As (say) opposed to Al Gore's docu-drama, which was found factually wrong
//in a Court of Law.........

Here's a summary from the Daily Mail, if you're too lazy to read the text....
"The German-born Pontiff said that while some concerns may be valid it was vital that the international community based its policies on science rather than the dogma of the environmentalist movement."

This is funny because ForecastFox (AccuWeather) is currently showing a (non-existent) weather warning for Middle Tennessee, and has been for two days now.
