I prefer the song cut from The Little Mermaid: "I'm Not Wearing Pants"

Don't get me wrong,I think it's a beautiful song, but when Jessie from Toy Story 2 sings "When She Loved Me",it breaks my heart every time.

I liked it.

Headline says "most beautiful song to be cut from Disney film", but yeah the Sarah McLaughlin song is a show-stopper.

/liking the extra Mary Poppins Broadway songs now. Took a while, though.

How embarrassing.
Is this because of the writer's strike that they're trying to Tupac a song from the cutting room floor?

DarthBrooks [TotalFark] 2007-12-13 08:50:34 PM
Earguy: I don't know why, but "I Want to Go Where the People Are" from the movie gets me choked up.

Howard Ashman's ability to fit lyrics into songs without making them sound stilted was what made a good song into a *great* song.

/"What's a fire and why does it, what's the word - 'burn'?"

/wow

Agreed. Ashman and Menken were geniuses. When Howard Ashman died, you know Michael Isner shat a brick.

Anyone that can rhyme "a lot of sand" with "hot crustacean band" and still make the song Safe for Children is a rare talent.

I watched The Little Mermaid about 40 times when I was a kid.

The song Out There from The Hunchback of Notre Dame is the single greatest song in a Disney movie ever. Tom Hulce did a hell of a job.

I've always been a fan of God Save The Outcasts from Hunchback. And yes that song in Toy Story 2 gets me weepy every time too. I'm such a puss.

I like the part of Little Mermaid right before the "Part of that World" song starts.

"I just don't see how a world that makes such wonderful things could be bad."

I guess I just like it because of how Negativland used it.

I sniffled....not too proud to admit it.

Saddest song ever IN a Disney movie...

"When She Loved Me" was amazing, especially since it was written by that d-bag Randy Newman. Normally his music ruins Pixar movies for me. Blind squirrel found a nut on that one

Ah, but just wait: Disney's pegged Tim Burton to remake "Alice in Wonderland." If it doesn't view at least a little bit like a movie version of American McGee's game, I'm gonna be distraught. Or drunk. Or both.

Oh, and Tim? The casting no-brainer of the century for the title role: Evanna Lynch. You're welcome.

The saddest and most beautiful song in an animated film, but not a Disney one.

tchau: A few questions:

1-They couldn't rustle up an OB/GYN at the second hospital so she could've had the kid down the hall?

2-Okay, so maybe they couldn't. Couldn't someone from the first hospital throw the dame and the kid in an ambulance and ship em down to the second?

3-Okay, they couldn't, because the woman didn't tell them the story. Why the hell not?

I can get as schmaltzy as the next guy, but sheesh!

My vote for the saddest song IN an animated movie goes to the concluding sequence of "Grave of the Fireflies". If you can watch that without tearing up you have no humanity.
