One of the very few "good guys" in the music scene. IMHO

There are more than you might think, but few at that level of notariety. You wouldn't see someone like Bowie or Blackmore going out of their way like that.

Eddie may be nuts, but he's a decent guy.

I watched the video and I must say, the quality of Chinese rhythmic gymnastics certainly has gone down the shiatter.

Awesome guy, I love him, but I also think he needs to eat a sandwich.

DLR and the rest of the band sound absolutely great. Eddie's care for a rapturous fan who was likely not fully in control of his faculties is admirable.

This tour was predicted to be an absolute disaster by everyone and their brother, who said that it might not last 5-10 dates before being cancelled, etc., but it's turned out to be incredibly successful with loads of glowing reviews everywhere it goes.

Long live ROCK! You know, rock and roll, where people play real drums, real bass and electric guitars, and actually sing stuff!

DEAD OR ALIVE

"Ed appeared to try and stop the guy from jumping off the stage by signaling for him to not go that way. The guy didn't heed Ed's warning and attempted to jump off of the stage from what looked like a covered area. Rather than making a clean jump, the curtained floor collapsed beneath him and he went down like a ton of bricks face first."

Did anyone else catch the irony of the song they just finished playing?

Maybe he gave him some stem cells so stop the bleeding?

Saving a Van Halen fan from a beatdown is not exactly a virtuous act.

At least he's shaved.

a friend said the MSG show was great.

I was at that show. (So I'm getting a kick out of...?)

Just a beef here: a local reviewer in the Georgia Straight said the show was mediocre because they had a simple stage setup, minimal light show, and "crappy lasers". What a tool.

The reviewer failed to realize that this is exactly why it was the best show of the year: VH didn't need all that crap. They played just over 2 hours of every great Van Halen song you can imagine, and they absolutely killed on every single one. Real fans don't want a fancy stage and lasers. They want to see and hear the band kick out all their favorite songs. All of the great shows I've seen (this one, Ween, Mr. Bungle, Nomeansno, Polyphonic Spree, etc) have been about great bands playing great tunes. Not fricking lasers.

Looks like they fixed their synth. sequencer for Jump. That's a good thing.

You may have forgotten by now, but the intarwebs remember all.
