This groundbreaking piece of journalism must go green.

CheekyMunky [TotalFark] 2007-12-03 08:45:02 AM
My question is, is Ric actually clueless or is he just really good at writing for clueless people?

Capt. Happy Hour [TotalFark] 2007-12-03 08:48:17 AM
To the Romero-copter!

Doctor Funkenstein [TotalFark] 2007-12-03 09:05:40 AM
From Ric's bio: Ric went grizzly bear hunting in Alaska, ice climbing in Wyoming, hot air ballooning over the Rockies, and yachting in Greece.

Ric is like a damn Jules Verne character. He's a modern day Phileas Fogg. I'm going to photoshop him a monocle and top hat when I get home tonight.

I'm pretty sure that Ric Romero writes articles specifically targeted at mid-level managerial types. PHBs need news, too.

tortilla burger 2007-12-03 11:28:59 AM
Wow. Keep it classy, Ric.

I'm writing-in Ric's name when it comes time to vote. For anything.

CheekyMunky: My question is, is Ric actually clueless or is he just really good at writing for clueless people?

I think he writes for clueless people. And think about it this way: the guy makes a living telling you shiat that you should (hopefully do) already know.

He's clueless like a fox.

Bucky Katt [TotalFark] 2007-12-03 11:30:39 AM
this article is a little disappointing. usually, Ric includes a great deal more detail which is so helpful in understanding the topic on hand.

he just phoned this one in.

Crude 2007-12-03 11:31:09 AM
Wait...let me get a #2 pencil and some paper...

So, you're saying, "look for a sale".

Journalists are so helpful!!!1!!

Thanks again, Ric!

I wish he'd do political reporting.

Elections are a method through which people cast a vote in favor of a someone they would like to see hold a political office.

I love the caveat at the last line of the article on how opening new store credit cards can hamper your credit score.

Save $10 on a pair of flip flops gain a percent on a home loan.

Great advice rick.

At first I think everybody should know this. But then I remember news stories about stupid people. Unfortunatly Ric is providing a community service.

You'll never go broke appealing to the lowest common denominator.

In fact, just yesterday I got an e-mail from Barnes and Noble (bn.com) telling me about a special deal.

Cool!! Thanks, Ric!

I was disappointed he left out the part about putting a big bill on the outside of your bankroll so people think you're a big spender.

LOL!

I should suscribe to the NFL Network just so I can chuckle everytime Bryant Gumbel farks up somebody's name. (He's the reincarnation of Frank Gifford.)

On a side note, I always thought it was amusing how Greg Gumbel seems pretty cool, and his brother Bryant is such a pompous douche.

I fell for one last week that was much worse.

On TF, sombody posted a link to a video that was supposed to be a girl losing her top during a Sports Illustrated swimsuit shoot.

/I was very disappointed.

Ric Romero is a prophet who has seen the light. And to think, all this time I was AVOIDING sales!

SpiderKing 2007-12-03 12:07:13 PM
Come on people, it's time to re-vamp the Rick Roll... I suggest posting a link with something along the lines of "Hey, everybody, check out this awesome Rick Astley music video!" and when they click on it, it's a news article relevant to the story.

Ric is not impressed.

FarkinFarker 2007-12-03 12:48:37 PM
With regard to Rick Rolls: Why don't people just look in the upper left corner of their browser at the title, or at the new tab's title, and read what it says? It's always easily closed before the video even loads. I clicked on a Rick Roll once intentionally to see wtf people were talking about, gave kind of a blank stare and a shrug, and then closed the window. I've yet to actually be Rick Rolled because I can always read the title which says "Rick Roll" before the videos ever think about loading. You all are probably capable of doing the same thing.
