1) BEER FOR DOGS ~ My own dogs love regular beer. And by 'regular' I mean craft beer

3) BILK ~ The Japanese have been fermenting milk for a while ~ almost like a liquid cheese. Milk Stouts originally had milk added for sweetness, as yeast cannot metabolize lactose.

5) CHAMPAGNE BEER ~ Malt + fruit juice = nothing new

8) VITAMIN ENHANCED BEER ~ Bottle condition; drink the yeast. Case solved.

9) OPEN SOURCE BEER ~ Not the 1st people to do it, but still cool nonetheless.

10) See my comments at the top of the thread (boobies)

rocinante721 covered what I was going to say. And that Dogfish Head is a wonderful thing. But for my money, nothing can touch the Dreadnaught IPA from Three Floyds brewing company.

nobodyUwannaknow 2007-06-22 11:26:30 PM
beer in glass containers!
what will they think of next?

/as a strict traditionalist I'll stay with beer in cans
//the way God intended

Left Hand Brewery Makes a damn fine milk stout.

and there is a bizarre amount of awesomeness that goes into crafting Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!
I DON'T THINK SO!!!

"The idea came from the son of a liquor store who is in the dairy farm industry."

What?

Carbonatedpizza

I still have the 1st bottling of Dogfish W.W.Stout conditioning in my cellar.

See my posts in the earlier MAIN PAGE beer thread.

... also lived in the Midwest. 3Floyds is great. Get their RABID RABBIT. They do to witbier with spicing what they do to IPAs w/ DREADNAUGHT

I've been drinking some of Minnesota's finest, Grain Belt Premium, in my back yard while watching hot rods drive up and down the street for Minnesota Street Rod Back to the 50s thing. It has been working just fine for me tonight.

Generally a beer snob, Stone, Rogue, Pizza Port...

Beer + dog don't mix. One beer for me is equivalent to 40 beers for a little mexican dog, and about 2 beers for my doberman. Don't kill your dogs.

/I miss San Diego
//MLPS, still needs more craft brew.
///pissed.

/new mexicans love their green chile

Andrew Sullivan. He's a Republican, yet he's also gay.

Oh, sorry, I thought this was about bizarre bears.

Carbonatedpizza 2007-06-22 11:38:22 PM
rocinante721 Yeah, Rabit Rabbit is amazing, too, I've had that a few times.

Oh damnit, now I'm thirsty.

Splaa 2007-06-22 11:40:01 PM
Ah yes, Grain Belt Primo. Pride of the north. Drinking it right now in the Minneapple. Claudia Chafer, I salute you.

/Yo, they make it in cans!
//found that out last week.

Norad [TotalFark] 2007-06-22 11:40:05 PM
True beer fans will agree that a Groblingers is the ultimate among great-tasting micro-brews. Only wasted, uneducated palates will find it otherwise.

On the other side of the coin, I've discovered that the relatively new Kinchloch MasterBrau is second to none. This brew is especially tasty after a ride on the bike paths. A really smooth, mellow flavor.

I remember in college, drinking a whiskey infused beer in France that tasted like rotten bologna. The sad thing was, having to save money to spend time in Europe, I knew exactly what rotten bologna tasted like.

FTFA:

The Kidsbeer label captures a nostalgic mood as it was modeled after classic beer labels. "Even kids cannot stand life unless they have a drink," reads the product's advertising slogan.

beer + milk = bilf?
how about:

bilf + milf = jilf (Japanese I'd Love to ...)

Adelscott is the name of that crap. And they use undistilled wiskey as sugar during the second fermentation. There are other ones and ther are all disgusting.

Egon Spengler 2007-06-22 11:46:11 PM
AS to not killing your dogs, FTFA: the beer is non alcoholic. Yes, we know plenty of dog owners who think a little beer won't hurt their precious, I've also heard of aunts and uncles giving toddlers gin. :P

I saw the son of a liquor store too that was funny.

With the beer that has vitamins, there is no mention of country of origin, but we can be sure its the good old freedom States of 'MERICA. "Don't put vitamins on the label, people will be morans enough to think it might make the healthy!!"

The funniest by far has to be the Kids beer, something we will also not see in our nanny states.
"Even kids cannot stand life unless they have a drink," reads the product's advertising slogan.

So true, thats why they huff gas and paint thinner.

Robot Terror 2007-06-22 11:46:31 PM

KEEGAN's is fantastic. Been there a couple times, driving up when I go home in Westchester

harrywalby 2007-06-22 11:52:55 PM
tenjed77 - I couldn't remember the name of that crap and as soon as I saw it I spit. I give you a gold star and if we ever meet I'll buy you a adelscott... and then a pabst blue ribbon...maybe a pearl and a nat light...or/and a hamms and a iron city.

yotta 2007-06-22 11:53:17 PM
Dusseldorf's Uerige beer, one of the world's finest, is now releasing new bottles with a braille label.

The is nothing bizarre about that at all! Why does the author hate blind people?

blitzy 2007-06-22 11:53:31 PM
NYRBill

yeah i think it was made by "El Paso Breweries" or something. i also finished the bottle but it took about 2-3 "basic" beers inbetween

hugheric 2007-06-22 11:53:44 PM
BLITZY- Oh yeah my bad(half way thru a 12 pack of much cheaper beer) The Victory Storm King is pretty sweet

bobbette [TotalFark] 2007-06-22 11:53:54 PM
he Kidsbeer label captures a nostalgic mood as it was modeled after classic beer labels. "Even kids cannot stand life unless they have a drink," reads the product's advertising slogan.

So true... so true.

I remember when I was a kid I'd come home from a long day at school & settle in with a drink and Mr. Rogers Neighbourhood. The booze had me halfway to forgetting Mr. McFeely's terrifying speedy deliveries. Having to walk a straight hopscotch square by the playground sobriety police was no walk in the park, though... and my friends are still teasing me 17 years for accepting that "playdate" with Dwayne. Thanks for nothing beer goggles!

I thought Miller High Life had been making the champagne beer for years....

/Oh, the champagne of beers
//Kinda like Assistant to the Regional Manager
